Hi!

Ok..i have no idea if i post this in the right place..but im sure if it's wrong ..someone will be kind and move it for me.

I was just wondering when 3Dice will be back on the Accredited casinos list.

Casinos have to pay fees to be on the accredited list?

Bryan can answer that one for you but let me say this...why should anyone in the business world be allowed free advertising? I know I wouldn't allow it. And if I owned the famed "Accredited List", I would damn sure be charging them a fee to be listed on it. Nothing in this world is ever truly free you know!

Fees would never skew the overall reputation of the casinos listed there or the list itself. The casinos that are listed there have to pass Bryan's rigorous qualifications of being there in the first place. That is first and foremost.

Hmmmm...I guess I never thought of it.

Off topic for a moment....I get plenty of things for free, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff I get for free. :D Sorry for the slight derail.

I'm just curious since you made this post back on Sep. 22nd why 3Dice has not been added back to the "Accredited Casino List" here yet. Are there other reasons involved such as ... 3Dice is not willing to pay the fees necessary to be re-listed there?

Casinos have to pay fees to be on the accredited list?

Absolutely not! Rob is dead wrong here and should know better: all casinos pay to show their advertising at Casinomeister but no one "buys" their way onto the Accred list. Inclusion on the Accred list is at Bryans's discretion, based on the criteria clearly stated on the Accredited Casino page (here).

... if I owned the famed "Accredited List", I would damn sure be charging them a fee to be listed on it. Nothing in this world is ever truly free you know!

Rob is of course free to speculate on what he'd do with the Accred list if he had created it and built it up but these speculations have nothing whatever to do with the Accred list here at Casinomeister. Rob's list would be a "you pay, we say goods things about you" list. The Accred list isn't that at all, and to imply that it is -- with no better justification that one's own hypothetical ideas of the economics involved -- is irresponsible and damaging.

If you want to know how a casino gets on the Accred list then read the intro to the Accred list: the answers are there, as they always have been.

Finally a word about the supposed "economics" of the Accred list. Rob's argument here is basically (a) it's worth something to be there so (b) someone must be paying for it. That's one possible scenario, but it's a fairly short-sighted one.

As soon as people are paying to be on the list (a) its meaning is infinitely diminished and (b) one becomes beholden to those that have paid. Neither of these are good long-term strategies, especially not for the kind of site Bryan wanted to build. If you follow the "pay for listing" model you're just like every other casino portal out there with nothing whatever unique to offer. Obviously that was not the intent here and has never been the policy Bryan pursued. The results pretty much speak for themselves: he was right and the Accred list has become one of the most respected of its kind in the industry.

[If anyone is wondering why I am responding to this several months later it's because this was only brought to my attention recently and I think it very important that the record be straight on this particular topic.]

... casinos should never, never pay to be on the accredited list and this principle should never ever be compromised for the integirty of the site.

Then you'll be happy to know that at no time has there been any discussions or plans for the Accred list to change.

A hypothetical monetized model for the Accred list only comes up when either someone speculates, as RobWin did, that it must be a paid service because it's too valuable not to be OR someone repeats those speculations, as 'just play' did, thinking that because it was posted on the boards and no one denied it (perhaps because we didn't see it?) that it must be true.

In both cases this tells you something about the person repeating it but it has nothing whatever to do with reality, past or present.

This is the leading site and one of a kind, with the amount of traffic this place gets im sure the casinos are falling over each other to be advertised here anyway. IM sure they will throw money at bryan for the banner- I know he does turn a lot down if they dont meet his criteria so that should say something on it's own.

... you could charge the rogues for beeing on the roguelist!

A novel idea but I don't think that would work too well either. They'd just say "cheque is in the mail, cheque is in the mail" and we'd never see a cent. :D

Or they'd just show you their cheeks. ;)

 Not sure I follow but I'm guessing you're making a funny over my spelling of 'cheque', yes? Brits and Canadians spell it differently than Americans. Sounds the same.
