Is william hill crypto its just i thought they changed from playtech to parlay, now they seem to be crypto, no doubt this will put a smile back on, some of our members faces.

    http://www.williamhillcasino.com/

The other day i made a post after being paid from a playtech, in the description of the money sender it just said william hill.

    1st. Been drinking?
William Hills Casino has always been Crypto (since 2001 at least...)
They have just changed to Playtech this month - hence the Playtech logo on the bottom of the page your link goes to.

2nd. Will Hills has 'sold out' to Cpays - twice voted "Most Annoying Affiliate Program" by CM (in 2005 & 2006 for spamming...)
    See: http://www.casinomeister.com/bestwor...php#affiliate2
This group notoriously ran rogue-ish spamming casinos, and therefore e-mail spam from them would be no surprise.

3rd. Huh! Visit the WH site - get a pop-up "Download Now?". Leave the page - get a pop-up inviting me to look at one of their other casinos. I know there are a few reputable casinos who do this too... but in my book this tactic should be banned and confined to rogueville!

I'm hoping the merger means they will clean up their act, but only time will tell...

I can not fathom why Will Hills made this move - IMO it's like trading in your Bentley for a Robin Reliant...

Crypto is awful. They're not going to last much longer since all of their big licensees keep leaving them.

Will Hills are in desperate times so they've sold a controlling share of the company to Playtech. You won't see them under Crypto for much longer!

Does that mean that Will Hill is in a bad financial situation now? They still pay out OK to players I presume?

How strange - I see a different page when I click that link.
(I'm not in the UK right now - if that makes a difference...?)
I was wrong though - the Playtech logo is only half way down the page (bottom of the top bit! )

    This is what I see:-

If you dig around a little, you can find both Crypto and Playtech-related pages on WH's site. According to the news releases, they're supposed to run both softwares for 2009 before phasing out Crypto.

I hate the pop-ups on the Playtech pages when you try to navigate away from the page. Good enough reason for me not to download the new software!

I suppose if you're a fan of the Crypto games they have, you've got a year to play there before you need to move to another casino using their software.

I like the fact that Crypto doesn't seem to have any rogue licensees while Playtech and Microgaming have a number of bad apples (see Casinomeister's Rogue Pit list) that taint the good ones (32Red being an example of a good MG licensee)

In terms of innovative games and presentation, I'm a strong believer that Crypto is better, but that's more subjective and everyone has their own opinion.
