You know your going to be ripped off when

Out of the Blue you get some promotional material in the mail giving you a $10 voucher to play at XYZ casino. I fell for it again after not playing these rip off bastard things for a few months. I just had to try my luck with the free $10.00 and it just led me into shoving another $200 into their greedy mits.
There is no way that you can win at these things in the long run, people remember their wins but forget their losses.

The quicker these online rip off merchants are banned the bloody better.

Excactly... A free $10 cost you $200. A work well done by the casino! It's like the old trick in the book when selling drugs... First time is for free...

Hmm... And since the latest news out now is that the casinos does this just to trigger certain people to play more... Do you stil answer the same? Do you still belive it's just "uninstall you fool", is it that easy for you, when we know the free money are targeted for gambling addicts that have a history of having problem saying no?

Hmm... I beg to differ the more I look at it!

Hmmmm not quite sure where to start with this post you seem to be extremely having read your other posts anti-casinos ..what you are doing is persecuting a casino for sending an email to which everyone who joins has the option to subscribe or not subscribe too and at the very least then delete it...if the problem is that someone with a gambling habit cannot therefore open an email without losing 200 or more then perhaps they should seek help professionally no? i am not and i repeat NOT defending casinos but srely to the common sensed ones amongst us then being unable to open emails means time to do one of or all of these 3 things...1 >> seek professional help for addictions...2>.change email address and make a new one informing friends only of new address...3> installing GAMBLOCK on a computer..

Im sorry kmiss but yes i do agree that some of these places have unethical business practices but what you say suggests its corrupt netwide and that i DO NOT and anyone with common sense will believe does NOT happen...

Sorry I do not understand your meaning here, do you mean that casinos do not give away money in the interest in triggering the gaming addiction so you will deposit more, as in a dope dealer giving more dope for free to the user so that the user is hooked again?

The reason why I mention this is that the dam has broken, the beans are already spillt. We know know this is what the tactic is - hence why they do it. Sure some might do it just for the happiness of the players, doubtfully, it's a shady cruel business!

I agree one should take responsibility on your own actions, *snip*, I lost a million dollars on theese machines and I'm not asking for them back am I? However I have the legal right to complain, especially if the fact of the matter is that you can easily break my by letting me wager for free for 5 minutes... That would be like giving heroin to a drug addict, you know I'll get hooked.

And also, the opt'out newsletter doesn't work, and sometimes "they forget" and send you anyway since it's a special reminder from a seperate list or whatsoever. So again.

I believe the story would be quite different if the lokal drugstore went out and gave free bottles of vodka to recovering alkoholics... You must admit! Atleast for the sake of morality! Or would that also be the recovering alkoholics responsibility?

I find you a little harsh, that people never needs help by others, and that the strongest will survive. Taken to the furthest, if I want to beat someone up and rob them I am free to do so - after all - all the other person needs to to is just be able to defend himself... He's problem really...

We need a little lovin, and when other companies screws us we get help from government and other people, but not here since there are no borders to govern them (as in casinos).

No offense K, but don't you think your analogies are a little one-sided?

Not everyone who takes the "free $10" is a gambling junkie. For many, many people a little gambling is just entertainment not an addiction.

I'm not disagreeing that this business can be just as black-hearted as any other but seriously, a little perspective wouldn't be amiss here.

No offence taken, I hole heartedly agree, I am very one sided! Not everyone is, however the point is why the bonus is given in the first place,

I only think it's good to look rational on what is really going on in this business, and not always just slam the "fix it yourself". Gambling has become an illness in the latter years just as alkoholism and druguse - and we know it's not nice throwing vodka in the face of recovering alkoholic. I just want a debate, and I happend to be the one throwing arguments from this side...

But yes, extremely one sided, sure, but I have to take a side and this is my side, I am one of theese customers the casinos atleast loved to have sometime, and they threw huge bonuses at me all the time. However after my writings in here and adding myself to the eCogra list for the n'th time I am pretty lost in the MG scene...

K no disrespect ok but the bottom line here is CASINOS ARE BUSINESSES and anyone who is in business is in it to make money...now lets look at the other perspective ,i walk past a supermarket/shop and see special offer "2 for 1" and i already spend too much on clothes have i to take ur line and complain because they are pulling me in and complain because they are preying on people who spend to much on clothes? i get junk mail like most of us do to buy holidays, cars, windows, bikes you name it i get it have i to go round all these companies complaining because they are just enticing me?? NO and you know why? because i take responsibility for my own actions and if opening an email was going to cost me $200 then i wouldnt do it or at least take stepe to avoid it..as max rightly pointed out your argument is bordering on silliness saying casinos should not send out such material ..were you complaining getting bonuses whilst gambling?? i bet you werent..if woody50 is seriously that ill with gambling theres more than enough help available both here and elsewhere on the internet and offline also...

Unless it is bonus from a casino that I already have an account with, these unsolicited mails get automatically dumped in the spam can.
