When are RIVAL going to fix these BUGS???

First off everyone knows I am a big fan of Rival software, so there is nothing vindictive in this thread.

But myself & others are getting totally fed up with Rival doing 'an MG'; sticking their heads in the sand and just churning out new slots as fast as they can while ignoring all the problems left behind in their wake.

So maybe by bringing all the problems together in one thread we can finally get them to sit up & take notice of their most important people - their customers!

I'm going to try to 'moderate' this thread by keeping an up-to-date list of the problems as others post them. I will also rank the problems into 3 categories:-
Annoying; Little things which really irritate us.
Serious; A bug which seems to have a serious effect on playing fairness or enjoyment.
Show Stopper; Major issues which need urgent attention.

When posting, please put as much detail about the bug as possible, and no derails please! :thumbsup:

OK, I'm going to get the ball rolling with one from each category...

1. (Annoying) You have no funds, but visit the cashier just to check something (i.e. any bonuses perchance?) and when you exit back to the lobby a pop-up says "Would you like to visit the cashier?". Er... No I fricking wouldn't - I've just been there - D'oh!

2. (Serious) There appears to be a fault in the bonus round of Granny's Attic:-
Hey Petey, did you notice that you are unable to get the key to open a second chest in the feature for the Grandma Attic's slot. I have gone through more than 40 of the bonus rounds without a single key at sloto. It seems there is a glitch in the software but the payouts seem to have included coins gained from other chests (at least it seems so) though you can never get a key to open another chest.

3. (Show Stopper) Travel Bug;
If you win more than about 100x your bet in the free-spins, the 'Continue' (back to the slot) button vanishes! Even the little 'X' top right does nothing and the only way out of the screen is to open your computer's task manager & kill off the whole casino!!! :eek:

I am a big fun of Rival 's slots.
I think the main issue is that rival casinos which use pantasia as processor delay payment.
I hope that they can give us a notice, when the problem will be solved.

So I can go back and play again.

Annoying
- Paigow Poker : As recent as 2 days ago, they were unable to get a good grasp of the Joker and it's functions. For the dealer's hand, they mark the Joker(which can count as an ace if it doesnt complete a straight or a flush) together with another card as a loss to the player's hand of an ace and a second card of the same value to the dealer's and treat it as a loss for the dealer for the low hand. This is only shown on the screen though and it is actually regarded as a push. If you are lazy and use the house way to play your cards, you'd better watch out. I had a straight ie 2-6 a Joker and a Jack. It would be obvious that the Joker is placed with the Jack for the Lo hand and the 2-6 straight be counted as the highh hand. Well, the house way prompted the 6 be placed with the Jack and Joker to complete the high hand with 2-5. You get worse ratings on both hands.

- slot (cant remember the name)

This is the one where there is a champagne round, a baby as the wild and three Zeuses? for the free spins. It was only on one occasion but I got the champagne round during free spins but the screen froze and I could not select anything. Logged out and returned but the round was not reinstated although balance was increased by several dollars. Definitely a case of predetermined payouts if you ask me.

- Scary Rich slot : On completion of the Frankenstein free spins, the screen suddenly froze and then showed a spin with the dracula appearing as an expanding wild in the 4th reel. There were no payouts though.


Serious

Grandma Attic's slot. I played this game before more often than not at least you get a key to open a second chest during the Treasure Chest round. However, recently at slot, I played more than 40 of these bonus rounds and didnt get a single key. The payouts suggest that the outcome is again predetermined and that the total coins that should be gained in this round are amassed as one in the first chest. So I dont think they are cheating but that takes away a whole lot of fun doesnt it?

I have to get back home and try to recall the others. Will post again soon.

I understand how frustrating that is, but the idea of this thread was to deal with software issues only.
Payment processors are a different kettle of fish... don't get me started on that! :p

I rate that Paigow problem as serious - very serious in fact!
Personally I rarely use 'house way' myself, but if that is available it MUST be to best strategy.

Slots; The first one is Reel Party.
Those first two bugs sound like one-offs. Unless they reoccur I will ignore them for the time being.
The Granny's Attic one I've already posted your comments on.

I've added SIX more things which really irritate me - all to do with Autoplay.
(Please say if you agree with me!)

Current list:-
1. (Annoying) "Would you like to visit the cashier?" when you've just been there.
2. (Serious) There appears to be a fault in the bonus round of Granny's Attic (no keys).
3. (Show Stopper) Travel Bug; Freezes if you win > 100x your bet in the free-spins.
4. (Serious) PaiGow Poker; Display problem & House Way is NOT to optimal strategy!

Added:
5. (Annoying) Autoplay; The number of spins slider is too sensitive = difficult to set the number you want.

6. (Annoying) Autoplay; No "Stop autoplay on any win above ..."

7. (Annoying) Autoplay; Stupid "Spins Completed" window is far too big & encroaches on the reels:-

8. (Annoying) Autoplay; You have to keep your mouse pointer over the button to keep the stupid "Spins Completed" window in view - why can't it just sit there permanently?

9. (Annoying) Autoplay; The above extract was taken from fun mode about 6-months ago. But now you can't use autoplay in fun mode... Why the hell not??? :what:

10. (Serious) Autoplay; I want autoplay to stop when free-spins are hit and have a 'Start Free-Spins' button (which you do get in manual play) instead of just carrying on without the slightest of breaks! I rate this as serious because it seriously spoils my playing enjoyment. :mad:

what about when u hit a real big win in fun mode...ya get a pop up saying summin like congratulations u won blah blah blah would u like to play for real now

That's not considered a bug. All the casinos only give you fun mode in the hopes of getting you to make a deposit.

I have sent this thread on to the appropriate department. I appreciate the time that you took to make this list. I have been assured that they are going to take this thread seriously and look into every serious issue.

As for the payment delays, these have all been resolved and we are back to our normal payout time of ~48 hrs or less. Of course if documents are required this will take a little longer for verification but this will only be for a first time cashout. I am obviously just speaking on behalf of Simon Says Casino.

Yeah I totally agree!
Pop ups on websites saying "Do you want to download now" are annoying enough, but these pop-ups during Rival free-play are even worse!
Makes them look like some cheap clip-joint desperate to get deposits, not a responsible gaming provider who's quality games speak for themselves and who's customers are quite capable of making their own minds up if they want to deposit or not, and when.

So now we have:
11. (Annoying); Pop-ups during freeplay asking if we want to play for real (i.e. deposit). No we don't!

That's not considered a bug. All the casinos only give you fun mode in the hopes of getting you to make a deposit.
You're right, it's not a bug and we do all know why the casinos do it.
But I wanted players to voice all their constructive criticisms in one place so that hopefully something will get done.
I could have called the thread "When are RIVAL going to fix these BUGS and other quirks which really piss players off???", but it was a bit too long... :p

Don't anyone forget, this is NOT a Rival-bashing thread, we just want them to make their software & games better for the players. Ultimately this will benefit Rival themselves as well because their customers will be happier! :thumbsup:
 
Annoying: I think there needs to be a delay between the 5th reel landing and the "You have won 10 free spins" message appearing.

On Scary Rich I get this message a fraction of a second before the 5 reel even stops spinning. It's no big deal but I think it does take away from the fun of playing slots.
 
bit of a silly 1 this but find it annoying all the same.......
the box at the bottom that scrolls through all your promotions.
when u take 1 of the promotions it does'nt dissapear from the list....
say u take $10 ndp and lose it all.......the $10 ndp is still in the list even though it obviously cant be used again!!!

being picky now sorry but as u said KK is annoying :lolup:

I know this is not a bug but it's so true.
It's just Annoying.
The only gripe I have is sometimes when you spin the reels it just spins,spins,spins until you get that error pop up.
I will look more in other Annoying things as I go.
I only play the reg slots (I know i'm boring lol)

Are you talking about during Autoplay or Manual play?
If Auto I already have that one, if Manual I will add it to the list!

BTW another 'minor error' on the new slot; 2 of the symbols in the pay table are the wrong way around!
Payouts should get higher as you read left to right; the 3 of a kind does, but the 4 & 5 of a kinds don't.
I have never seen a win pattern like this on any other slot, so my guess is it's a mistake:-

I have received a message from them yesterday saying that they have added all of these to their bug list and that they will be worked on asap. I expect next week for some of them to be solved. The next update that goes out will more than likely have most of these fixed. Like I said earlier, I received a very positive response from them and they are taking this VERY seriously.
