UK is so cold that, when some of there visit here, for them its "hot" here...

and for those that dont met this, you have all kind of transports here (including low coast flyes)

Looking at the long range weather forecast, you may well find that ICE comes to Portugal later in the month

It'll be a disaster, a common problem when migrating to a Microsoft product

I was not thinking of the high ground

The charts suggest (although with considerable uncertainty at present) that the "Siberian High" is going to expand westwards to cover much of Europe and the UK by the end of the month, with the milder westerlies being pushed well to the north of Norway, with cold Easterlies setting in. Although late in the season, it still offers the possibilty of an extended spell of cold or very cold weather, and it will come as a shock after such a mild start.

I recall other winters where we had to wait until February for the cold weather to set in, but have ended up being considered "severe winters" overall because of an extended freeze when it finally came.

There will be more certainty in a few days, and it really does look like Bryan will miss the snow at home because he will be at ICEi and the LAC. Decent snow is rare in London because of the urban heat sources, so he will probably not see the best of any coming to the East of the UK either. It could even be "the wrong type of snow", so there may be no trains running in and out of London, and long delays at Heathrow. If as bad as last year, no London buses either. I can't figure out how heavy snow managed to shut down the UNDERGROUND service though, it's always hot down those tunnels, whatever the weather.

Sitting at the airport right now, will be in London in 2 pm (UK time). Drop me a PM if you want to have a beer (I'm going to visit few pubs near Earls Court ).

    Nice pics!

Wonder where the Meister Meeting will be next year. ExCel looks _so_ out in the weeds.

I enjoyed the read, i liked the "photographic evidence" too
Thanks for the hard work once again, although it seems as it has it's pleasurable sides too..

    And rightly so!
However, one could seriously doubt your integrity when reading this:
..and with things like Egg and Bacon ice cream and snail porridge, you can't go wrong..

    LOL!

Jokes aside, keep up the good work!

I had a fantastic time! I was really bummed up last year when I booked my flights wrong and was not able to attend. There were so many great people to mingle with which made the evening go way fast I do have a few pics I will allow you to snag off my FB and add them here

As the evening wore on, we wore it well. We meandered to O'Neills, which I was informed that we go there every year - which could be true. They had a live band, which was surprising for a Tuesday night. And when O'Neills turned up the "go home" lights, we wandered down to the Casino at the Empire, where I had one of the most spellbinding and unforgettable conversations in my life. Unfortunately, the topic was nothing you'd want to hear in this newsletter.

Thank goodness I was wise enough to call it a night only 10 mins into the casino of course being jet legged helped(not mentioning the shots of tequila and sake)
