Ripoff Bonus Backfires on Lucky 18

So you devise a bonus that looks good to a newbie(and a compulsive experienced fool). You offer insurance payments to depositors when they lose their stake and also o amounts they had setup as withdrawals but redeposited. But you hook them up with an insurmountable playthrough requirement that insures against the possibility of actually having to payout anything to the suckers, oops I mean players.

Maybe its divine intervention. Maybe its the spike in the probabilities but one of the insurees claims his insurance and regularly starts to buildup a sizable stack of redeposited stakes that come very close to breaking through the playthrough requirement.

Send for the carnies, the boys from the midway to rescue the poor stupid online casino.

These fellas decide that when they do payoff the insruance its at a 1 TO 5 ratio, hooked up with of course the insurmountable playthrough.

To insure that nothing happens the casino decides that there is only one person who can approve the redeposit insurance, and t hen he

NEVER EVER EVER IS AVAILABLE TO APPROVE THE INSURANCE.

Have your chat people deflect the fool who believes that he will get his money. To keep him quiet give him..........

you guessed it, small bonuses attached to enormous playthroughs.

This little scenario was brought to you by Lucky 18 Casino who rose from the ashes of a previous unethical group of operators and replaced them with very courteous but equally unethical operators who it seems missed the class at Online Casino University that taught about probabilities and the temporary swings in them that allow players to occasionally take a slice back.

So in closing, I say Lucky 18: Was it worth the bad publicity to save the tiny slice of money you did by playing the game of "oh hes not here right now for 7 days in a row.

I hope Casinomeister will find it appropriate to move you to the darker dungeon of Rogue from your current spot with the Not recommended crowd.

His decision but Im confident you will continue to make these shortsighted moves and reach the slimepit you should be in right now.

    Signed

Previously stupid enough to play with you.

i like the way you write:

i do believe lucky 18 is more suitable for the rogue pit, then the not recommended section, i have been reading lots of complaints on various forums i visit, and even virus alerts...

i have stopped depositing at rtg almost a year ago, when a recommended clubworld casino, gave me a hard time cashing out on a n/d bonus, an after i finally got my cash, (not even the correct amount mid you) they have bonus banned me, even taking in the fact that i did deposit as soon as i got my cashout.

the only one i do deposit at is inetbet, i dont know why but somehow i feel that this is the only fair rtg out there, and even there i am moderate in my spending.

ill stick to microgaming and 3dice, and am considering the new wagerworks section: i did one or two deposits in intercasino in the past and it felt ok..

I thought Lucky 18 was already rogued!

If I recall correctly, I think the owners got busted, arrested & put in jail for running an illegal casino from Isreal...

    Nope - he was acquitted.

    November 5 2009

Naphtali Goldman (34) the sole owner of the Lucky 18 Group(http://www.lucky18casino.com ) has been exonerated of any wrongdoing bylocal authorities with regard to claims that he hosted and processed payment for the Lucky 18 casino in Israel.

Lucky 18 casino founded 2 years ago and a leader in the online gamingmarket was found to have all relevant licenses' to operate a legal andtransparent online casino; after an exhaustive investigation, Lucky 18 casinohas been found to run a bona fide legitimate operation as is required by law.

With tens of thousands of satisfied players, Lucky 18 casino has returnedto full operational capacity.

Mr. Goldman and others were interrogated by Israeli authorities 2 monthsago on claims of hosting an online casino platform within an Israelijurisdiction.

All claims have since been found to be unsubstantiated and the owner ofthe Lucky 18 group fully exonerated.

    Mr. Goldman stated:

"Our company has always been fully licensed, transparent and fair; ourplatform has never been hosted in Israel. The ethos of our company has alwaysbeen to provide a fair and technologically advanced secure gaming environmentand because of this, we are leaders in the online gaming field."

Judge Esther Nachliel - Khayat at the Rishon Leziyon Magistrates Courtstrongly doubted whether Goldman had broken any laws; she asked theinterrogating authority:

"Tedi Sagi (The owner of Playtech - floated on the London Stock Exchange)was my neighbor. I am somewhat familiar with the subject. What is thedifference between him and Mr. Goldman before me?"

The interrogating authority failed to demonstrate that any wrongdoing orbad practice had taken place.

Lawyers for Mr. Goldman stated that:

"Due to the lack of understanding about the online gaming industry, authorities acted irresponsibly opening the doorway to a substantial civillawsuit."

A statement issued by the Lucky 18 Group management today stated:

"The interrogation of Mr. Goldman however encumbercent had no adverseeffect whatsoever on the operation of the casino; Players continue topatronize our site because of our transparent operation, fair gaming andunrivalled customer support.

The management would like to thank affiliates and players for theircontinued support during this testing period."

They are that bad, yet the owner of Playtech (pre float) was dragged in to the mix in order to give Lucky18 credibility. Playtech should stay out of this, because it rather looks like Lucky18 are either rogue, or going under, and the risk is that they could drag the fine reputation () of Playtech with them. I doubt Tedi Sagi even knows he was "namedropped" during the interrogation of Goldman.

Disingenuous doesnt even begin to describe Lucky 18's statements

I do not recall any implication that Lucky 18 had setup an illegal gambling operation in my home and so I am puzzled as to the relevance of the truncated quote below.

The malfeasance is not that they are an illegal operation but that they simply lie about what they are willing to payout to winning players.

There are many casinos that offer only what they intend to pay out to winners and they retain a clientele that I am told provides them with an attractive profit.

Others have to play it close to the edge like LUCKY 18 CASINO. Meyer Lansky a famous gangster from the 30's through 50's gave out good advice to those livng on the edge:

Don't do anything to attract attention to yourselves and you won't find trouble waiting.

When you cheat people out of the small winnings they have succeeded in earning after meeting high playthroughs and then you don't pay them they have only a single recourse and that is to speak out about their experience. The WWW with Casinomeister providing the pulpit is a free forum that reaches everywhere and is available to those of us who have encountered the less savory edge of this business.

I am disinterested in Mr Goldman's conflict with Israel. They can certainly take care of themselves.

Mr. Goldman if you are reading this: I would welcome your participation in resolving this issue. Pehaps your staff has as reportedly Nixon's staff did, overstepped their boundaries as you established them, embarrassed you and compromised your integrity. Please indicate through this forum if you would like to correct this situation and I will respond to you.

Propaganda it definitely is - a typical rogue operator putting a favourable spin and exploiting a run-in with the authorities in Israel.

Nevertheless, the fact remains - he was taken to court and managed to get an acquittal.

The court of public opinion is not so forgiving - if you don't pay your players it will bite you in the ass eventually.
