These domains can normally run around $8-12 per year for registration - hosting costs can be a little as $4.95 a month (Godaddy, etc). So $5000 is pretty silly - unless you are trying to extort something out of someone.

And I hope everyone here can note that this casino is NOT on the Accredited List - and is not affiliated with Casinomeister in any way. This just goes to show that Max and I try to deal with these issues fairly regardless with whom we're dealing with.

The player has already emailed us explaining how disappointed he is. Well, I'm pretty disappointed in this player. Account closed for exploiting the forum for a misguided agenda.

Blackmail and extortion are more significant crimes than theft and fraud.
An offence taken very seriously, punishable with lengthy jail sentences.

Reading the contents of this thread is quite shocking, the contents of this thread along with the casinos chat logs should be handed over to the French Police for further enquires.

People who resort to blackmail and demanding money with menaces need to be brought to the attention of the Police, as it is possible that this individual may be sought in connection with similar offences. His next victim might not be a casino or clued up members of a forum.

.net = The domain registration information is different than the rest, so it was apparently sold to an affiliate without a clue that supports rogue casinos. Cool Cat, Palace of Chance, etc.

FWIW, these sites are back up or redirecting. And they're now calling Casinomeister "a scam" and claiming that we're in bed with the casino, etc. Guess he got tired of sending me foul and abusive emails (there were several). What a chump!
