Obama's Inauguration

Just watched the ceremony in full. Quite moving really.

Best wishes to America, it's 44th President, his administration and all the dreams they promise to renew and revitalize.

I think it's safe to say that the eyes of the world are on you today, and many of it's hopes are in your hands. Godspeed to us all.

What about Cheney's rating of 13%? It's hard to imagine how Biden could even get close to anything so appauling.

161 million dollars est. spent on this inauguratoin, how far would that have gone toward feeding and sheltering the homeless, way over budgeted during this bad economic times for my likes as a citizen............................laurie

We are all in this together. The economy, race relations, global warming etc, is not just an American problem, but is a problem of this world.

I hope we can all unite to solve these problems.

Unfortunately, most of that amount is for security...and the figure itself is questionable at best...

Broken down properly, in comparing 2009 dollars to 2005, this inauguration is comparable, if not cheaper, than Bush's second.
