Actually the West End is pretty tame these days. There are still little pockets where the libertines are still kicking but back in the 80s the place was pretty wild. Imagine if the Village People ran a gold rush town, or something like that.Many sleepless nights but yowza was it entertaining! And I'm straight! If I'd have been gay ... well, let's just say I reckon the boys were having a lot of fun.
Of course it wasn't all fun and games, the sex trade there ended up getting pretty nasty, but that all got chased elsewhere and, well, the 80s didn't last forever.
