This would happen far less if the search function was removed or improved.

Sure - and he/she is more than welcome, but bumping threads from 2006 without flagging them as such can really be frustrating and occasionally time-wasting.

As it turns out, that was an interesting article on poker bots despite its age.

Hi SK,

As you may have gathered it's generally not a great idea to repost to an old thread. It's no fault of yours but just mentioning it so you know the usual protocol.

As you can see I've posted the link back to the original thread in your first post. That's the preferred method if you actually want to start a current discussion on an old topic.

Let me know if any of this needs clarification.
