Party Poker complaints

Thought I would finally take up one of the many promotions this site sends me. If I deposit money into my account - using the promotion code "SEATFREE" and play real money games, I would be eligible to enter into their $20k freeroll tourney. And guess what???? Yep you guessed it!!! I could not register. I have sent them 3 emails with no reply.

Has anyone else had trouble with this?? And have you been able to finally register?

If I remember correctly, PP only offered these codes to new signups only...

HORSE poker players have to be pretty rounded. Take the quick Poker Test and check your standings.

Party Poker - misread the deal

Yeah I just revisited the promo. Says "sign-up today". Yep they have manipulated the deal. I was already a real money player - hadn't played for a long time though. So they caught me out here. Anyway, was only the minimum amount of deposit, but, pretty sick thing to do.

Having said that, if I was already a real money player, why did it accept the bonus code when i deposited the money? if I was ineligible, wouldn't you think it would display this aspect at the deposit stage?

Seems to me these sites can get away with just about anything?

Party Poker - Frozen My Account

Whilst I am on about PP, because my phone number had changed (from my original sign-up), this site froze my account. Now I appreciate the security fact, but, now they tell me that they cannot reach me on my new number. So not only have they taken advantage of the promo deal, but I now cannot access my account. What a bunch of inept wankers. So I ask them to give me a toll free number to ring them and.................yep they do not have one for players down under. So I ask them to reply to my email with an International Number...........and i am still waiting.

But there is more...........they want me to give them feedback on their customer service!!!! Can it be more laughable????

See how open they are. They want to listen to negative feedback as well as positive ones.

Unfortunately their bonus system is comparable to RTG's. You can claim bonuses all day long...it doesn't matter if you are eligible for them or not

You would think since they have control over their own software they could fix this - but won't.

If you ask me, I think you would have a case against them. If they sent you the promo email, and it wasn't an affiliate, then they knew damn well that you already had an account and weren't eligible for the promotion. In that case, they should be required to honor it.

Maybe you could PAB and see where it goes?

Quote:
# To be eligible to take part in the Promotion you must:

1. be eighteen (18) years of age or older or the legal age of majority in your home country, state or province;
2. have successfully completed registration on the Gaming Service and opened a Real Money Player Account; and must
3. not be resident in a Restricted Territory.

(any player who meets this criteria shall be deemed a “Qualifying Player”)

In order to open a “Real Money Player Account” players must have registered on the Gaming Service to open an account and deposited a minimum of twenty-five United States Dollars (US $25.00). Qualifying Players will then receive an invitation to participate in a freeroll poker tournament at the Website within thirty minutes of opening their Real Money Player Account (each being a “Tournament”).
Technically, there's no instance of them saying you had to register after a certain date to be eligible.
