    Banned from Platinum Play

I signrd up with Platinum Play after calling and making sure there was no Problem with a new account as I had a problem with a tenent using my name on the internet casinos. They said no I did not have an account and was fine to go. I signed up, deposited 80 dollars and started playing. 3 minutes later my account was locked. When i called I was told I was on an ecogra? banned list and they had to block my account. I said ok, then refund my money. They said that was impossible. I sent them over 8 emails to document and they still refuse to refund even though I took the necessary precautions having had my identity used in the past to make sure the casino was a safe one to use. They sent me an email yesterday retating that they would resubmit to their "special investigative unit".

And why would this be a reason to "beware"? Any casino would do this.

I can understand your concern, but things like this are best to be done in writing (email) rather than on the phone. This way it's not a "he said, they said" situation.

Hopefully you will either get your money back and/or account unlocked. By them saying it's under investigation doesn't mean this is the end of things.

Yes, any casino would do this...BEFORE they accept your money is the appropriate and justified way of handling a suspicious registrant. Maybe their special investigative unit doesnt kick in till it gets "greased".
Why is it so easy for a site to discover multiple accounts and ecogra banned (?) players AFTER they have your money, but not before?
If they checked to see that a player did not have another account, assuming it was the proper department at the site that handles accounts, why wasnt anything else discovered? Seems like a player that has been banned from ecogra would be a major indicator and a priority check for an honest site that is looking to protect themselves instead of screwing a player.

    Sump'n fishy?

The guy could be in a badluck situation... 'a tenant stole his identity' and might just have to wait for the 'special investigations unit' to sort it out.

OF COURSE they should have caught the 'identifiers' and never allowed the deposit. I'll alert the FL rep if he hasn't (per terms of this forum) and maybe they can sort it more quickly.

eCogra blacklist? I'd like to know more about that.

    That is an illegal penalty.

Im not saying he is but if the player is blacklisted, keep him that way. Either dont accept his money or, check security afterwards and return payment.

If he is persistent, take further action against him. Withholding money someone has paid for a service is unacceptable, guilty or not.

If it's fraud, the money will be returned to the cardholder eventually. We don't have the facts and may never have them. Wim has been alerted but the casino will never disclose in open forum. When it's settled, the OP can if he chooses.

I guess they got jealous of the Proc Cyber blacklist that went around years and years ago so they had to make one of their own up.
