Any problems playing on someone else's computer???

    Hi!
I have a friend that often comes to my house, or I go to her house. We have been playing poker and I sometimes use my account at her house and vice-versa, same with sportsbooks.... My question is: do online casinos track where you are when you are playing downloaded games? I don't want to get into any trouble, or lose a bonus if the casinos think that it is me that is playing two accounts....
I hope this makes sense, it's late and I should be sleeping!

** hey there. as far as i could find out, there should not be a problem with this, giving that your account (and hers) was opened on seperate ocasions from seperate computers and you do not SHARE the same household (adress, tel number etc) looking at it from another point (and proving how redicilous it could be should anyone try to tell you it is not permitted) - many pple make use of internet cafe's to play online. in the event that I play on a computer where (by chance) another person play too... but we don't even know each other.. how can i be held responsible for this? I think the only problem comes in when accusations are made of 'someone else used my account' and the investigating parties find that you have oftern 'shared' a computer, in which case it is YOUR repsonsibility to keep your info 'secret'. having said all of that, it is better NOT to do that, because should you end up in a dispute with the casino (or your friend for that matter) it could get sticky!just my opinion **

My Girlfriend plays on my PC when shes over (and I play on hers when I visit her) and even my mum has a punt now and then!

When im at my mates on a weekend I play on his PC too.

I wouldnt think the casinos/pokerrooms would mind. They can always ask for ID if they think something funny is going on.

Hopefully a Casino/Pokerroom rep will give their view on this as you got me worried now Grandmaster.

This is from Casino on Net T&C's:

(iii) At all times, you may only have one account, for which you will register using your own, correct name. You may not access the Software / or use the Service by means of another person's account. Should you attempt to open more than one account, under your own name or under any other name, or should you attempt to use the Service by means of any other person's account, we will be entitled to immediately close all your accounts and bar you from future use of the Service.

Sounds like it could be an issue....

All depends on what they mean by "account." If they're referring to IP address or MAC ID (I think that's what it called), it definitely might be an issue.

If they only mean you can't play under your friend's login name and password, it wouldn't apply (obviously).

If you play on someone else's computer using their account, that's against the T&C at most places, but the casino is not going to find out. But if several different accounts are used from the same computer, that can lead to big trouble.

I signed up all my casinos/pokerrooms on my PC. My girlfriend signed up all hers (mostly the same 20 or so sites) on her PC and my mum signed up on her laptop

What I mean is that I sometimes log in to MY accounts on my Girlfriends pc, and she sometimes logs in to HER accounts on my PC. I really dont see any probs with that but you never know with online casinos/pokerrooms.

    Casino reps please re-assure me

    Hi Guys,

At VPL casinos (the only ones I can speak for...), there is not really a set rule for this. It is mostly handled on a case by case basis by our Risk department.

I can't really go in too deep here, as discussing the details etc. would certainly open us up for abuse. (Not saying anybody here is an abuser, but you never know who lurks these boards.)

What I can say though, is if you would like to spare yourself some unnecessary headaches (sending ID, emails back and forth etc.), try to avoid playing on someone else's PC if at all possible.

    Regards
    VPL
