Came across this one as usual looking for some "variety". Archive search shows only some really old posts. Not accredited, not rogued -- so looking for some commentary by CM members.

Have played a bit, so far only thing I don't like is that bonuses are auto applied and cannot be reversed. When I queried support, they confirmed that there is nothing they can do if you prefer NOT to play with a bonus.

I get wishy washy on bonuses, so I don't always take them.

Recent TRUE experience, playing $75 free play with 10x max cashout. Hit random jackpot, continued to play and play and play at max bet hit multiple random jackpots due to max bet ------ (nothing to lose and was at least accumulating comp points) ran it up to $172,000 !!! But could only cash out $750 max. Burned me out on bonuses for awhile........ but I did earn $1,990 in comp points that could be cashed out by the time I had played it back down to the $750 that was cashable.

Anyhow.............comments on recent Slotland experiences appreciated.

Have played couple times...easy deposit and withdrawals:

"Withdrawal requests are payed out each Tuesday with speed and efficiency. All payments are processed free of charge, this means you will always get exactly what you won! The minimum amount you can withdraw is $10." They payout by check.

As for bonus not the worst playthru terms around lol:

"WAGERING REQUIREMENTS: Slotland's casino slot bonus policy is very simple. We make it easy for you to win bonus money and to cash in on that money! Any bonus you receive and any deposit you make to earn that bonus is required to be wagered at least once prior to requesting cash withdrawal. These terms are set forth, unless stated to be otherwise on a particular bonus. Registration and Monthly Mystery Bonuses represent special categories, the Monthly Mystery Bonus must be wagered at least 10x and the Registration Welcome Bonuses are required to be wagered 12x. Sunday Bonus Brunch bonuses are required to be wagered at least 2x. All deposits are required to be wagered at least once."

Games are limited but some are kind of amusing. They've been around long time and I've found them easy to deal with, super polite and helpful.

Curious about you not being to refuse bonus though, I've always been given a choice on depositing with or without bonus at the time of depositing.

Slotland are one of the oldest online casinos (I first played there in 2001). Nothing much changed there for about 8-9 years, but in recent times they've expanded considerably with lots of new "slots" and a second casino (WinADay).
If memory serves correct, I think they were accredited at one point, but lost it. This might have been because they had Video Poker which was actually a slot, and were too slow to add this information to their site for players to see.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 99% certain all their games are AWPs (or fruit machines) and are not true random slots - so players should be aware of this as it can make a very big difference to the way you play them.

I can't recall ever seeing a player complaint about payment from them - IMO they are good to go! :thumbsup:

What do you mean by this? I'm serious - what is an AWP? :confused:

AWP = amusement with prizes

You might have also heard them be called Fruities.

These games have the look and feel of a slot but are not 100% random. You can usually pick when there about to pay out the jackpot and when you should just leave them alone.. I have never really got the feel for them and play them occasionally.

KK or VWM could explain it a lot better.

You would probably be more familiar with Microgaming AWP's Like Treasure Island, Gee Gee's, Game on, Cops & Robbers etc.

Just remembered THIS KK and VWM explain a bit on that page and the next couple :thumbsup:

Cheers

Comp points:confused:

Slotland:confused::confused:

Hit random jackpots:confused::confused::confused:

This sounds like RTG software, not Slotland.

Slotland does not have comp points, the jackpot is site wide, and is NOT hit repeatedly.

Slotland games all have a "block" (like a fruit machine) against the progressive hand or spin turning up with "natural odds". The progressive chance is evaluated separately from the game result, and if you don't win the progressive, the game will be blocked from giving you that combination when your bet plays out. If you are the lucky player selected to win the progressive, the game will give it to you straight away, and no other outcome will be possible.

The Slotland free chip rule is not what you have said either. You can cash out on a free chip only if you have made a deposit in the 30 days prior, else you get NOTHING, not even 10x.

A screenshot of the lobby you are playing would help, plus a screenshot of your comp points statement.

I think she was referring to another casino as an example of why she doesn't like bonuses...??

Right.

You get none of that RTG crap with Slotland. WR on bonuses is lower, and they are cashable. ALL the games are slots, even the Blackjack and Videopoker. Withdrawals are only processed once a week.

The games are unique and flash based. There is a different set of games at the sister casino WinaDay, and different promotions. WinaDay also processes withdrawals once a week.

One downside is that there is no WR counter as there is with RTG, and support is only email and live chat.

An oddity is that you can deposit only up to $200 (Slotland) and $250 (Winaday) at a time unless VIP, and you cannot deposit again unless you have used up your credits.

Once you understand how the games work, you should not have any problems. Many of the slots have Fruit Machine like features, such as holds. Unlike true "fruities" though, the outcomes are all random and occur at the expected odds EXCEPT the progressive jackpot combination, which is awarded by a separate random chance which is NOT the same as the natural odds in the game. This is why there has been the controversy over the Video Poker where the Royal Flush pays the site progressive. It does NOT occur naturally, and thus video poker strategy does NOT help players to target the Royal over the normal best strategy for the best overall payback. This means that the progressive pot may seem +EV when high and awarded for a Royal Flush, but it is NOT because it does not work this way.

I've played at both these casinos lately, more recently at Winaday. I think their customer service is very nice, but really can't see winning anything much there. Those that hit their jackpots are extremely lucky. When I deposit there, a big win would be like $200 and this is from betting $5/spin. Money goes fast there and I really just see it as amusement with little winning potential.

I think they really should improve their software and upgrade everything because it comes across as very elementary.
