If you give them a try again, start out with the regular games. Dog Pound is my fav.
Hmmm, so basically its alot like 3dice is what you are saying. The games werent very exciting to me anyhow. I think I will stick to my 2 favorites.

Ridiculous. I didnt take the bonus either simply because I hate being strapped down if I make a nice hit and have playthrough requirements. I never lost $80 so quick in my life. Rival sucks.
    Don't say I didn't warn ya!

I have a love/hate relationship with Scary Rich and Scary Rich 2.

Even betting minimum (.20), can destroy a $50 deposit. But if you hit the mother lode with the 3 wilds on either game, your could get a big win. Best I've had was $560+ on a .40 bet in the bonus round and I didn't even get the best possible payout.

I totally agree with your Scary Rich comments - very high variance and even getting the free-spins doesn't guarantee a decent return.

But I can't agree about Dog Pound - that game hates me!

If I were to recommend some low-mid variance yet entertaining Rival slots to get people started I would go for:
    Baby Boomer's Cash Cruise
Love and Money or Winter Wonders (clones)
    Shamrock Isle
    Future Fortunes
    Hole in Won

    KK
    Smile, it may never happen...
