    TopGame Casinos online

    I couldnt log into any of my TopGame accounts so I called a bunch of them (Rich, Thebes, Moons, and 7Spins), and I spoke to the Support Managers of them and they told me that there was some trouble with domain hosting for all of the TopGame brands yesterday and this morning but everything is back up now, or should be within the day today.
    I just checked and I could log into my thebes account and Rich account...so all seems good :-)

    erm guys, they maybe new to casinomeister.. i too made that mistake when signing up.. come on not every one u dont no is a shill.. terrible really is to attack everyone at the smallest mistake!

    Cross-posting to three forums -- not to mention it being splattered around the other message boards across the web -- is not "the smallest mistake". It makes a mess of the forums and work for us to clean it up. In fact there is a specific section of the Forum Rules, which presumably the person had read, that relates to this:
    1.2 - No "cross posting". In other words, do not post the same message to more than one thread or topic section. Cross postings will be deleted and posting privileges may be suspended for doing so.
    It's right up near the top so it's hard to miss.

    Anyway, no one has "attacked" anyone. I put a wrapper 'round their post and called it like it appears. If all turns out to be innocent then the wrapper comes off and the post is intact, no harm done. I must say though, for someone who signed up here almost a year and a half ago I would've expected them to be a little more familiar with the ropes at CM.

    The point is that if their message had said "Topgame is tops, you go play now!" then everything they have done would be a classic case of spamming/shilling and they'd already be banned. The fact that the message was giving us supposedly helpful information is the only thing that casts a shadow of a doubt here and the only reason they didn't get tossed out on their ear. In other words leniency has been shown just in case it's legit. Fair go I say.

    ok I understand that, but for newbies like myself who got scared off.. I now don't use the forum to much, i tend now just to use it for answering private emails,..
    which is a shame.. some people like myself just want to pop in to the site say something and go, it just seems there are lots of rules,

    Have you read the Forum Rules? There's not that many, and it's not unreasonable to expect that someone who signed up in Jan 2009 to have read those and absorbed them in that time.

    This scares some folks off? Yes, that is unfortunate, but it's not our job to play happy hostess and ensure that everyone has a comfy pillow and a refreshing drink.

    We are moderators, managing the forums per the Forum Rules with a reasonable amount of discretion. I think "reasonable" is a fair description of what has and has not been done here under the circumstances.

    But time will tell. Perhaps the OP will turn out to be a great new addition to the forums and I'll have an apology to make (sort of, the cross-posting thing is still an issue). If and when that day comes feel free to point it out to me and I'll do the necessary.

    Sorry if I'm being overly blunt here but you're basically giving me a hard time for doing my job in what I still think was a reasonable manner. Doubtless we, especially I, tread on toes now and again. All apologies, no intent to offend. On the other hand we are not fools and do know a bit about what we're doing.

    PS. I should point out that the OP spent a sum total of 6 minutes at CM this morning, made three posts of the same text in three different forums, and then immediately left. No surfing, no reading, no messaging, no evidence to indicate that there was anything on their mind other than making the posts and ... moving on to the next forum to cross-post there perhaps? This is not the activity of a timid poster just putting up a good word to help others out. Like everything else they did they acted and behaved 100% like an experienced shill.

    FWIW, all of this sort of thing goes into our decision making on stuff like this.

    Good day everyone,

    The problem mentioned earlier was that many players were not able to log onto any of the sites, this was caused by a shift in domain hosting. Some players HAVE been able to log on and play, however a lot have been having problems doing so.
    The shift was to a more secure hosting site and players should be able to log on and/or download new versions of the software hopefully by the end of the day.
