How long have ALL MG progressives been linked?

This may be a stupid question which has been answered here before, but I never noticed until today that ALL the MG progressive slots appear to be linked together in one massive pool!

I was looking at the progressive list at Ladbrokes when I spotted the jackpot values of all the slots were rising totally synchronously; all going up by 1p at a time. This can only mean they are all linked into one massive pool of funds collected from all their progressives at the same time and that this pool is shared equally among all the slots, regardless of which are generating the income.
    It's the same at 32Red.
Until now I had always believed each brand of slot had it's own jackpot pool.

    Evidence:-

Anyone know how long they have been linked like this?
Anyone else think this isn't really fair?

They're all separate pools. But the javascript tickers default to 1 cent (or 1 pence) per second minimum increase for show.

If you let the page run for a while, then refresh, more than likely you will see some of the values have moved backwards

You should be able to see this for yourself by having one casino show that general progressives lobby, and log one or two others in & go to a couple of the progressive games.

Mega Moolah should be increasing faster than this, and this should be the case for most of the others.

MGS have been exposed for taking a display shortcut, rather than displaying the true tickers. Sadly, suspicion among players means that many of these software shortcuts can feed the conspiracy theories. MGS certainly do not help by not even having a user manual for the CLIENT application. For example, where can you READ that "enter" spins a slot, and that a few other keyboard buttons act as "hotkeys" for a few other functions in some games.
