MegaMoolah missing?

Ah, so MG can now disable selected games for selected players.

Surely no reason now to NOT do the same when BONUSES with GAME EXCLUSIONS are given under EZBonus. MGS have demonstrated they can do this when it suits THEM, so surely they can offer this to assist PLAYERS to stay within the rules.

I wonder what else the software now supports that would be to our benefit, but that casinos would hesitate to implement lest it reduces their ability to invoke their "F U Clauses".

Well, the front page of Villento doesn't say one thing about US players not being eligible for progressives. In response to that, they can kiss my A**. I am closing my account as of now. It is beyond me why banning US players from progressives would make one bit of difference. If they can't pay $100,000, they won't be able to pay $100. It is conceivable that a player could have a great run and win $30,000 or better. (I think small perhaps) What's the difference in paying that and anything else? I call BullS**t on this.

Just for reference Annie, and in case you missed it, this was discussed in the JPF/MG thread, starting on this page, post #45:

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/jf-is-closing-off-the-us-to-new-registrations.27831/

As someone else mentioned, first they were going to block progressives, then they couldn't implement it in the timeframe originally stated, but would at a later date. I guess that date was today. You are absolutely right in that a courtesy email should have been sent. No excuse.

You are correct, Pina, I did miss the part about the progressives. But I still think that when you have been a player at a casino for an extended period of time that an email would have been warranted. Not one word from Villento about anything except bonuses.

So before they do it to me, I requested that my account be closed immediately. A good way for me to quit gambling online. :D

Not taking any sides here, but with the way David has been on top of things during this whole clusterphuck, I find it hard to believe that JF would try to slip this by American players without giving advanced notice.

If you step back and think about it, I wouldn't put it past Microgaming to do just that. It wouldn't be the first time that they've pulled this shit without giving the casinos notice about changes they've made.

I'd bet that JF and other MG casinos were blindsided just as much as we were.

No matter how annoying, if I were in the USA I wouldn't have closed my account over this unless I was already registered at loads of other MG's. I can't imagine you will ever be able to re-open your account there again, so if you change you mind in the future you're screwed.
I don't get this 'closing account' thing anyway. Do you think the casino gets all upset "OMG this player CLOSED her account!! Panic!" :p

But if, as you say, you want to quit, then this is probably a good thing.

Whatever you do - good luck!

Probably just as well to close your accounts at MG casinos, the way things are for USA it'll be nearly impossible to get paid without waiting 2 to 3 months if you get paid at all.

I played MM on 32Red download software this morning, it was pretty much there (not missing :) ) but kept getting disconnected every 5 minutes or so... other - non-progressives - games were OK though
It's only USA players who have had progressive games blocked.
People living in free countries can still play them... :p

This is the reply I received from Villento. I personally think that the persons blindsided were the US players. Looks to me like the casinos knew ahead of time and chose not to alert players. That said, KK, I probably have an account at every MG casino available. Wouldn't be all that great a loss anyway but I will make up my mind later. But as of now, not one more cent from me.

"Thank you for your email and expressing your concerns.

Firstly I would like to apologize for the inconvenience regarding the progressive games as we understand that this must be rather frustrating. We have been advised by Microgaming that they will no longer permit US players to wager on progressive games, this is unfortunately out of our hands. However, should Microgaming lift the restriction on US players in the future, all players will be notified accordingly. Just a reminder that our host of other games will be unaffected and will still be available to you. I am sorry to hear that you would want your account closed after being with us for a much lengthy period. If I may appeal to you, please reconsider as this decision was not implemented by us.

Please note that Villento Brands will continue in its endeavors to meet all our US players gaming experiences with our exemplary promotional offers and with our 24/7 friendly customer support.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further queries.

Warm regards,

Jeremy"

i recd this on nov 12 from david brickman

This is David Brickman, VP Player Affairs for the Jackpot Factory Casino Group. Yesterday you received an email informing you that our Flash Instant Play Casino and progressive jackpot games would no longer be available for our U.S. customers. I am happy to inform you that the decision to implement this change has been delayed until further notice.

I sincerely apologize for the premature notification but it was simply our intention to keep you informed of imminent changes rather than have you find out after the fact.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

All the best,

David Brickman

this was the last message i recd, now i check and they are completely out of my software. grand mondial they are still there but it states can not play. progressives are gone out of my villento software also. imo usa have contributed to these progressive jackpots with our monies, so i do not think it is fair to usa. this is just my opinion.

If you ask me, Microgaming should audit EVERY USA PLAYER'S ACCOUNT, and any "rake" they have contributed to ANY progressive jackpot should be RETURNED to their account IMMEDIATELY. I feel the same way. I've played the progressives and chipped in to those jackpots - those of which I have no way of hitting, ever (?) again.

i am in total agreement winbig there, especially the progressives that have not been hit in awhile our monies are still sitting there for no usa players to ever hit, as we helped build up those progressive jackpots with usd. our funds should be put back in our accounts that we wasted on progressives that we can no longer play and possibly have won at. its just not fair of mg imo. i would not care if i didnt waste so much usd playing them, but i did waste alot, as i am sure many usa players have wasted and not won either. not fair microgamming.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not asking MG to refund every bet that USA players have placed. I'm merely suggesting that they return the portion of bets placed that went to fund the jackpots....

I guess I can understand MG blocking US players from the big progressives like MegaMoolah.

But why block ALL the progressives? I mean, some of them rarely get above $75,000, and if MG can't pay those jackpots, then it should get out of the US market altogether.

All and all, this has not been handled well.

You know, I had never even considered that Winbig and Pevangel. You guys are absolutely correct. If you've contributed to the Progressives, and now have zero chance of playing them again, or ever hitting one....those monies contributed should definitely be refunded. Monumental task I'm sure to perform that kind of audit, but hey.....not your guys fault.

Unlikely that the casinos will take it upon thermselves to do so. But perhaps individual players can ask that their play be reviewed, and adjustments made accordingly. They have your logs for an extended period, and know just how much of each bet contributes to the progessives.

I would think that a return of player funds would impact the current jackpots...Wonder how they will explain to to players in other countries?

hi all

right away when i see that progressives are no longer available to us usa players, i saw the progressives monies that we deposited and made those jackpots larger was totally unfair, and i am sure everyone else from usa that deposited feels the same way as me , i dont care if microgamming closes everyone of my accounts its not fair to all usa not fair.

that is how i feel i paid and so have many of you into those progressive jackpots its not fair at all its like they take our monies and runnnnnn. well i do not like that at all.
