Buyi: Hello. How may I assist you?

Julien: do you charge my card as a cash advance?

Buyi: End Time: 23:59 GMT. on Saturday 1st November, 2008

Julien: will my transactions here charge me as a cash advance on my credit card?

Julien: yes no maybe so ?

Buyi: it may take up to 8 business days for your credit / debit card to be charged fro your deposits at our casino

Julien: but will it be charged as a cash advance is what i am wondering

Buyi: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.

    Julien: no problem

    Buyi: that's correct

Julien: so it will be charged as a cash advance

Julien: please use a complete sentance what is correct?

Julien: don't mean to act like a ding bat we just have to be 100% clear on this matter

There may be a problem communicating with Buyi. Please wait while your chat is transferred to another operator.

You are now chatting with 'Rushda'

Rushda: Hello. How may I assist you?

Julien: as all transactions here charged as a cash advance on my credit card?

Julien: the reason i ask is because i was only charged for one cash advance on my 150$ deposit but not for my 20$ and 50$ deposit

Julien: are transactions below 100$ not charged as a cash advance

Julien: are all transactions here charged as a cash advance on my credit card ? or not

Rushda: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.

    Julien: alright

Rushda: I will be right with you.

    Julien: yup

Rushda: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment
Rushda: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.

Rushda: thank you for waiting, your deposit is credited immediately, however the funds may reflect at a later date on your statment

    Rushda: *statement

Julien: that was not my question though

Julien: will this transaction be charged as a regular transaction or a cash advance

Julien: cash advance = i go to the atm machine and take out 20$ cash from my credit card regular transaction = i go to a store and use my credit card

[Max says: this bit was left out. ]
Rushda: yes, it is taken as a cash advance
    Julien: ok
Still waiting for an answer and expect the same response...your card will be charged at a later date blah blah blah IS IT CHARGED AS A DAMN CASH ADVANCE OR NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems they are using an AI to answer. They scan keywords in the question, and come up with the answer that most fits.

They will not have this one though, as it is down to the credit card company what they treat as cash advances and purchases.

There is a code that merchants send with the transaction that identifies their business. Card companies use this to decide how to treat it. If the code comes back as "gambling transaction", some cards will treat it as a cash advance, while others will simply allow all codes to be treated as purchases.

Mastercard will use this code to deny gambling transactions, and some VISA cards also do this. It will also depend on which processor routes the transaction to the card, some may well have the "wrong" merchant code as a deliberate device to get past UIGEA, but this also means that non-US players will have the wrong type of transaction noted, and may not get charged properly by the card company.

Here in the UK, most card companies have a specific way they treat gambling transactions, as they see them as not so much a purchase of goods, but a purchase of money to be used in a casino environment, for which no "goods" will ever materialise. Treating them as cash advances can also get them out of covering them under the consumer credit act.

    Can be cash advances

    Hi all,

My apologies for the chat. That is not good enough.
We do not use bots or scanners for live chat, all real people however reading that chat I can appreciate the comment.

Some banks do charge cash advance fees for deposits and the purchases are cash advances.
This is due to the funds being reserved up front, but only debited a few days later.
We always try and reconcile funds within a day or two to ensure the debit reflects as close to the purchase as possible.

To answer your question: Yes, some banks will charge the deposit as a cash advance.

    Hopefully this clarifies things.

    Regards,

    Darran

    Correction.

    Hi,

I received the actual transcript and it seems like the last bit was left out of your post.

Julien: will this transaction be charged as a regular transaction or a cash advance
Julien: cash advance = i go to the atm machine and take out 20$ cash from my credit card regular transaction = i go to a store and use my credit card
Rushda: yes, it is taken as a cash advance
    Julien: ok

Just to clarify I think that was a direct answer.

    Kind regards,

    Darran

I am beginning to find your posts rather immature and attention getting, but this one takes the cake.

Making a legitimate complaint against an accredited casino is one thing, but to complain without including all of the information is shamefull.

I bet the rep on this forum really enjoyed spending what was probably a half hour looking into your false complaint

I received the actual transcript and it seems like the last bit was left out of your post.
