Grand Mondial Linkee No Workee

Doesn't work no matter where I come in from... did you try live chat on that page?

From the accredited casio list here at good ol' CM. Tried numerous times to download - nada. No problems with any other MG casios since I fixed the thingy giving me the Adobe Flash Player prompts. Any ideas on this?
The most likely cause is the casino's server is down.
This happens to the best of them at times!
All you can do is try later...

PS. When did CasinoMeister start selling watches???

:D

It gets you to the page, but only the flash version will load from there, not the install.

Eh? I can install it no prob. Either I click "Play Casino" or the tab "Getting Started".

Maybe it's because you are in the States

You could ask them to send you a CD? And in the meantime play flash version. Others in the states were able to download it during the fest. But, yeah.. there are scads of MG casinos to choose from. Here's where I'm signing up next

Thanks that BUT...

...Grand Mondial is probably the only MG casino (that takes US deposits) I haven't played yet. And I couldn't even say that if it wasn't for their morphing from Grand Monaco Casino. (see my screen shot on pg. 232 of Winning Screenshots here in CM Forum) I just uninstalled over 20 MG casinos and could probably uninstall 20 more. But thanks. GrandMondial techsupport has requested screenshots which I have sent but wonder what good they'll do. They are as follows for anyone who can make anything out of it. My desk top is continuous across two monitors - the monitor image on the left shows the current open browser window while the right monitor shows the previous screenshot newly pasted to Paint. :D

Anybody (in the states?) able to downlaod casino?Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) Flash loads fine for me, but not the download.

ps, yer losin signups...

derMeister suggested it might be because we're in the States. I suggested he's losing signups, but he's prolly already off to Spain.

Strange they don't jump all over the front door of their casino to make sure it's open:confused: provide an ftp link or sumpn sumpn.

I've still got whitelabel fever so I'm not playing there anyway, just tryna help a brother out.

What is a Mondial? or a Grand Mondial? Support will have you uninstall the casino that was never installed in the first place and try again, or tell you to reboot over and over till the problem solves itself. MG support should mix it up every once in awhile and tell someone to reinstall the operating system.

A Mondial is a sundial that only works on a Monday within a 7 day period when the rest of the days af the same week experience total eclipses of the sun! A Grand Mondial is an array of 1000 Mondials. I thought everyone knew that!

After sincere email apologies from MC's tech support and request for screenshots (above) No Wordee Why Linkee No Workee since 9/28.

Hey Bernynel: I closed my account with them about a month ago... they didn't care - answered my e-mail within 2 minutes and closed me out - I made hundreds in deposits over a 3 month period - nada - no cashouts. Hopes this helps!!:D

Yeah. Pretty much sums it up, doesn't it?! I'm givng this thread an apathetic burial.

Nope, let it be known they not only do not give a sh*t ( in violation of Meister rule #1) but they simply don't care.

Off my playground, even if they address the whitelabel bullshit properly; which they won't.

lojo, for the first time says, avoid

Buy

Sell

Hold

Avoid all playshare casinos, they have direct access here and they can't even pay attention- piss off GM, and the marketing campaign you rode out on

Answer sdaddy, however you please, and I'll reconsider, but lojo's mad money has this group douched until then.

Hi there All,

We've been testing the following link: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) on IE and FireFox and it seems to be an IE issue and it does work on FireFox.

While we are still attending to see what the problem is on getting the download to work on IE, can I please ask that you download the software from FireFox and that should work.

We do apologize for the inconvenience and rest assured we are working on it.

Speak to you soon.

Best regards

Nope, it is a PROGRAMMING issue by your IT staff. They have written bad linking code and it doesn't work. The fact that Firefox is able to manage the error better than IE is because Firefox isn't produced by Microsoft, who also produce lots of bad code.
One problem is that Grand Mondial just wont let you simply "download" the casino, you have to use the fancy "download helper" which takes over the process from the native download process embedded within browsers. This is the likely point of failure.
Changing the user settings within IE may well solve the issue, but this is a complicated subject, and beyond many USERS of computers without help.

The simplest solution would be to provide an alternative link to a straight forward download as an alternative to the download helper version.
Where I have had problems downloading, it has always been with the various download helpers.

The problem I had most recently was that the MG casino sat for ages at zero percent downloaded, but was in fact downloading in the background. It then vanished from the desktop altogether for many minutes, but then suddenly the MG casino launched "from nowhere" and then ran fine.

.... It was Grand Mondial:D

It then took a collossal amount of time to download all the games (overnight, and still not done), and I have 4Meg Broadband!!

I played my free spins on Hitman, and then archived the casino.

Nope, doesn't work. Just stalls with progress timer creeping bit by bit. (Means unable to connect to subdomain hosting required file).
Grand Mondial site itself responds well, and the flash version loads promptly.

Either the server hosting the download file is unavailable, or the link is bad - meaning the file does not exist in the specified location, or is not named correctly in the link.

I just downloaded the software. 75kb/sec, so I don't think there is anything wrong with the server, at least for me. The link did NOT work before. I'm using IE version 6.

Thanks but I'm using IE ver. 7.0.6000.16544 and don't plan on going backwards just to download GM. Casino PM'd me here today, to their credit, with the following:

Hi Bernynhel,

Hope you are well.

Please note that we've been working hard at getting this matter resolved and there can be quite a bit or reasons why this is happening.

We would like to ask we do believe that we've resolved the issue and request if you can please try again and let us know if it is working or not.

Also if it does note please confirm the following for us:

Which Operator system are you using?
Which IE version are you using?
Are you able to download from FireFox

This will greatly be appreciated to try and find a resolution if it does not work.

Best regards
Mario

I post this to be fair to the casino in response to the naysayer's posts below. Fair is fair.

So I gave them the info - I have XP Pro and don't know what would happen with Firefox and as far as being able to download their software nothing has changed since I started this thread.

I don't understand how the PR could possibly seem to work.

Mario, you represent an accredited casino here. I have never spoken against an accredited casino here unless it was in blunder mode. I think you are.

sdaddy PM'd you or your associate asking for clarification of terms. If you know my posts, you know I am not 'in bed' with the bonus crowd. But clarification of bonus terms should be addressed if you are to offer bonuses, imo.

When did this community lose the ability to ask and be answered, it seems arrogant or incompetent to me.

I do not rail about the whitelabel issues, they're not yours to bear. But we have seen a chat session from one of your 'white labels' that seemed to confirm what the players are in for.

Date these posts, and please consider at least having an employee or loyal player alert you when there are issues that couls affect your credibility here.

Personally, until these three issues are addressed:

  • Why would you leave bad code on a valued affiliates link for so long
  • What are the clear terms of bonus use
  • Do you have progressive disciplinary actions available for sub-par white labels

you won't see my money.

Regards.

It is good to see that Mario has been on and is attending to the bad link and the white label questions/issues. I guess they have decided to stay mum on the clarification of terms. Unless this is defined, I would suggest to fellow players, do not use any bonus within the PlayShare group.

Hi guys,

Our IT guys are still working on it and just wanted to let you know that we have not forgotten about this problem.

Bernynhel can you please PM me your postal address in the meantime in order for us to send you a CD copy.

Will keep you posted on this matter as soon as when it has been resolved.

Hi guys,

Just to give you a bit of a follow-up on this matter.

We are still trying to find the problem and we suspect that the problem is not the actual link but the downloader it self.

We are in discussions with MGS to see where the problem might be and what the solution on this and as soon as when I hear anything will get back to you all.

Thanks

Hi there All,

Hope you are well.

Please note that this matter should be resolved and it was nothing to do with the actual link itself but more with the downloader.

Can I please ask that everyone please test this and make sure everything is in order?

Do not hesitate to contact me if you find any problems in this regards.

Best regards,

Get a grip. They solved three problems, well mind you, in as many days. You are supposed to forget about the days between question and answer, silly:p

How the hell is it in LA now? Are you guys burnin hell? Hope all is well.

My point EXACTLY!

Most of us DON'T NEED or WANT these little "download helpers". They are sometimes incompatible with features of individual OS configurations. IE and Firefox have their own built in downloader, which is simply "save target as", and the link need only reference the actual "exe" file containing the installer.
I don't believe I EVER had such problems in the old days when all MG installs were just a case of saving the 4 to 6 Mbyte exe to desktop, and installing locally. Now there are a number of downloaders, some show movies, allow you to look at offers, and worse still override your OS preferences as to where to save the installer. Most place it in the windows folder, which is not good as it clogs up the OS and is hard for the novice to get rid of. Worse, if there is a failure, the player has no clue as to where to look to attempt a local "run" of the exe.
The latest downloader, the one that I believe Grand Mondial uses, is the worst of the lot. It shows a simple banner, and it just sits there, and sits there, and gives no feedback whatsoever as to progress, making it look like the process has hung, which in some cases it has.
This downloader will cause problems with VISTA, as it attempts to do several things that VISTA considers "insecure", and it will be blocked. One is downloading directly to the windows folder, rather than the desktop, and the other is attempting to create a separate root folder rather than using the programs folder. I have also noticed the downloader makes more connections to DIFFERENT internet servers than would seem necessary for a simple download. This leaves many points of failure, as if one of these servers fails to respond to the downloader the whole thing hangs.
I once had it hang for over 15 minutes after simply disappearing altogether, and no application was seen running in task manager, nevertheless, a while later the MG casino fired up out of nowhere, and opened the casino straight away.

We should go back to basics, have a straight download (after all, who the hell is going to try MG on dial-up at the current size and even remotely NEED a managed downloader)

Hi All,

Hope you are well.

I just would like to touch base to confirm that there are no further issues in this regards and if there is please do not hesitate to contact me.

In regards to Weatherman, please note that we use a standard downloader and there is nothing fancy about it at all.

The downloader is developed by MicroGaming.

All of the best,

Mario

I cant believe I just noticed this thread

I am in the States and have been DL'ng and playing at GM for months now. I have no problems DL'ng. But......Ive never had a cashout either. I guess I keep going back because they are one of the only ones I can find that has 5 and 10 cent break da bank, most others are $5 and I cant afford that

I love that game! If someone know another GM that has breakdabank in cents and not dollars, please let me know
