I Second that John Steed, for Casinomeister historian going forward. Absolutely GREAT WORK !!

I would have rather been in 12th or 14th place though instead of 13th for Total Amount Won......Sheeze 13th place....that can't be lucky for the New Year....although time will tell.

Awesome work.

No worries,Robwin. I will translate this into Cantonese(a Chinese dialect) for you. 13 means lively and energetic and the Chinese New Year will be with us in 3 weeks time. Good luck on your slots.

I'm engraving 13 into my chest with a sword... j-j-j-ju-ust a m-m-m-ooo-ment.

(edit pages and pages of screaming, howling... as blood drips to the floor...)

Okay, now MG REALLY has no more excuses to be unkind to me. Geez, my lucky number is #4, and that's just fine and dandy back in my homeland. Unfortunately, as chuchu59 could attest to, is that #4 is unlucky on this side of the Pacific. At least (as I'm told) in Korean, the number #4 "sa" (pronounced ssa), and as I understand "sa" in Chinese is either blood/death (or something like that). When I change continents in the coming year, I'm hoping that my lucky #4 can bring me some good luck again... because it's been a curse on me out here.

Damn i could have come 2nd if i'd not started that Golden Goose Winner Screenshots thread. That'll teach me.

Whoa, that's what I was missing! For whatever reason, I was scratching my head thinking, thinking that I was certain that Simmo! had faired MUCH better than this. Sorry about that, but if I'm jumping to every thread, researching, I think that would take me a solid week to do.

One of the main reasons why I wanted to do this thread (and research), was to find-out if my perceptions were accurate (or, IOW "reality"). I was always certain that Simmo! was #1, although I did have it in the back of my mind that Gramma's progressive wins likely would have put her at the top. I was also certain that Casinomeister and Spearmaster would make the Top 4-5 for my "Champions" (total accumulated value) list, which surprisingly they didn't (which again, likely coincides with their being much more busy this year as opposed to '04). What I hadn't really noticed, was some of the other posters like a Caliban, a Chill, or a PhilipFromParis, did much more than I had ever realized (in '05).

BTW, what are you in real life, a researcher?

No, I wish. I'm an English teacher out here in South Korea. Though in my free time, I love breaking-down numbers for sports (most notably: baseball). While I did do a lot of research for this particular thread, what had been logged, I fear, might not be 100% accurate. Why? Some of the numbers aren't as clear as I would have liked (saved screenshots). As we all know, some of those screenshots are either too small, or too unfocused and blurred. I had to do lots of conversions as well, for the new MG games as well as the games that were played in U.K. pounds.

What started as a fun idea, would later evolve into a tedious marathon. In the end though, I made a couple of minor errors that I can't edit (repeating things) now, but all-in-all, I'm happy with the final lay-out (and results).

So I don't like to criticize - but there is one problem - you don't know what currency people played in at MG casinos!
For example, my biggest win was Great Big British POUNDS! (ap. $1,105)

You're absolutely right. I only recorded what was seen, or what was typed in those posts. But, there was bound to be some mistakes. I did do quite a number of conversions for Slotser, a couple for yourself, as well as a few for others. As far as I can recall, your $1,105 win read as 607.20 (off a .54 cent bet), and since it was at 32Red (Playcheck), I assumed that they only used dollars as opposed to pounds. Again, I only converted what I had clearly seen was written in pounds (eg. your win of 76.26 in pounds in Aug./and your most recent Dec. win at 70 pounds).

Sidenote I: My apologies, because I omitted your December win at Cluedo (which does look like fun). Not JUST because it was too low, but at that point, after tediously recording everything for roughly a 9-hour run, I wanted to jump out my apartment window (and not in celebration for the new year ). I also couldn't make out some of the older posts that have vanished, like ExSparr's and 2brnot2b's earlier posts from the beginning of '05.

Sidenote II: What a beautiful shot, really! How they all lined-up like that, great stuff. I'm sure it happens, but I have yet to see someone pull that off during a free spin feature. On a large enough bet, one could retire.

Sidenote III: My greatest slot win to date, was on Tomb Raider, where I hit 4 scatters to go into a free spin feature, where on the very first spin, I got another 4 scatters. I didn't get a shot of it, but it was for several hundred dollars off a reasonably low bet.

Again, thank you everyone for your kind words, and I hope that you had fun reading this thread!!!

4 means "die". 14 means "kill".

John, you are right about the unluckiness of those numbers. Yet it might interest you to know that my own lucky numbers are 4, 14 and have been ever since I was a child.

So much for superstitions... but I don't go loudly announcing my lucky numbers to my friends

No worries, spear and Johnsteed. As usual,Cantonese is as funny as they come. Simply add 5 in front of 4 and 54 is pronounced as NG SAY which means 'wont die'. Superstition! Yup,but what gives if it give people comfort of mind. Happy New Year ,everybody.

What an absolutely outstanding effort JS, which I'm pleased to see has been recognised by the many "thank you" votes. I believe your "reputation" star must be the fastest rising we have seen to date, and it is well deserved due to the tremendous amount of work you put into these interesting threads and facts.

Kudos!

Hey johnsteed - another great thread

Yeah, not everything is here from me - busy, yeah sure. But some of my biggest wins were lousy screenshots so they never got posted (accumulated free spin amounts, etc.).

And I'll never forget the five scatters I got on Spring Break ($9 spin = $4500 payout). I was giggling like a school girl and hit the wrong buttons for the screenie. It never came out, but Spear could have checked his affiliate account to confrim

While giggling like a school girl... you also forgot that there is something called Playcheck which could have proven your point And my affiliate account only showed a big hit, no way of knowing who or what caused the damage
