Hi all,

Im sort of new to the whole online gaming scene........I do have one question I was hoping to get some advice on. Are e-wallets like Neteller and Click2Pay legitimate or merely scams out to cheat the unwary punter? Does Click2Pay customer service even exist??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated on this issue, cheers.

lol.. welcome you are great:thumbsup::)

i can assure you that neteller, moneybookers, click2pay is NO SCAM and yes the customer service really exists ;-)

so dont worry they wont steal your money as they make more than enough profits on all the fees they take from merchants and customers..

there are also a few other ewallets.. mostly for us people so i havent tried them.. but they are no scam too i guess:)

i would use neteller its my favourite because of their master card you can get your winnings straight from a atm..

but others also offer things like this..

just look for the service which suits your needs at best and has the lowest fees for your kind of transactions..

cheers

Bit late to the discussion, but I have a LOT of experience with some payment processors.

Moneybookers >>>>>> daylight >>>>> NETeller.

Both are 100% legit, of course - both are regulated by the FSA in the UK.

ePassporte was fantastic but it seems no one accepts them anymore - or, more likely, they moved out of online gambling payment processing.

Haven't used Click2Pay but have heard good things.

QuickTender is the US-facing version of UseMyWallet, correct? (I haven't used either and haven't heard good or bad reports, until BingoT's thumbs-up just now...)

I've been using Neteller for 7-ish years, and though not perfect (who is?) they are definitely legit and not scam-artists. I would recommend them to any gambler as an ideal way to move your funds around online.

I have no experience with Click2Pay, so no comment there.

The casino I play in (Euro Palace) offers me these withdrawal methods and I’m looking for the one with the least fees. Often, there is an almost invisible fee on currency conversion (they charge a premium) and it’s not that easy to evaluate. What is the cheapest method for the player; regardless of the time it takes (I’m in no rush). These are the withdrawal options that I have:

EcoPays
ClickandBuy
Entropay Card
Idebit
Swift
Cheque
(Visa) didn’t work on withdrawal, but it worked for the deposit, go figure???

I find the e-wallet world complicated

That is good, even if I'm based in Québec, I'm still Canadian (it's a joke folks)! I'll wait for their words on e-wallets wisdom!

Slotmaster, Balthazar, Jasiminebed are all Canadians so hopefully they can help you out. Maybe you could ask the mods to change the title of the thread to reflect that this is a query for e-wallets for Canadians?? That your fellow Canadian CM members will see it. Good luck in your quest:)

Ecopayz is not particularly cheap, but it works well enough and supports multiple currency.

Instadebit is offered by many casinos and uses your own bank account and is very cheap. I am not familiar with Idebit.

Cheapest of all is a casino that will pay back to your credit card.

Even though cheques are often listed as a withdrawal method, you will often find they are not available to you. Find out what country the cheque is drawn on first is my advice. Be prepared for a long wait for a foreign cheque to clear.

Bank wire is fast, but you will be charged a fee by your bank (mine is $15 flat fee).

I use a prepaid Visa from MoneyMart. It's accepted everywhere, and quite a few casinos pay back to it, although not all. 32Red, Guts, Betat all spring to mind in that regard.

Thanks Jasminebed! I agree, withdrawing to a credit card would be the best and that is what I hoped for, but for some reason, I am able to deposit with it (visa) but the casino says there unable to credit my card. I called my bank and they told me there shouldn’t be any reason for it not to work (the same card was credited in the past, but at another casino). Sometimes I wonder if casinos are trying to steer clients toward a particular means to withdraw? I want to withdraw the cheapest way; I just hate it when some intermediary takes a cut out of my winnings...vultures. I'm going to try Idebit and see how that goes, at least the company is Canadian and their fees seem quite low. I will let you know how that went! Good luck to all!

I am not Canadian but for me Ecopayz was always the cheapest. You can open multiple accounts in CAD, USD, EUR etc. and the currency conversion fees/charges are the lowest among the e-wallets.

I deposited yesterday with Neteller and Ecopayz. 100AUD cost me 2900THB with Neteller and 2650THB with Ecopayz. That is a huge difference.

Also you can get an ATM card from Ecopayz which has the lowest withdrawal fees.

Wow, and I thought us Americans had to pay quite the markup..

Wow, and I thought us Americans had to pay quite the markup..

it's actually worse, just checked my account to get the exact numbers:

100AUD uploaded
- to Neteller, total including upload fee 101.95: 3108THB - exchange rate 1AUD - 30.49THB
- to Ecopayz, total including upload fee 102.85: 2692THB - exchange rate 1AUD - 26.17THB

- OANDA exchange rate: 1AUD -25.2THB

Whereas the EP rates seem very reasonable, the Neteller rates are 14% higher than Ecopayz and 17.5% higher than the official exchange rate, that is coming close to a rip-off. :( ......I guess it is similar with other currencies, very profitable business for NT as they will charge you again if your account is in a different currency than your casino account....and they also charge the casino for your deposit......WOW, i am just flabbergasted

For South Africans

Well I use
Netteller: great for withdrawals, easy to load funds and the net1 master card is awesome for withdrawals, fees are fair

Ecopayz: fees a tad higher than that of Netteller but the multi currency accounts and being able to get up to 3 master cards in different currency's is also handy

Skrill : best on fees for SA players but sadly no MasterCard available for SA players, also my bank and most banks in SA will confiscate funds either bank wired from skrill or the casino as the laws here are currently a bit sticky about the issue, discussions currently going on about wether to legalize it or not

I agree Neteller is great but it is no longer available for Canadians:(

Anything over 5%, in my view, is a rip-off

Hey welcome to forums!

Best E-Wallet in my opinion for Australians is Ecopayz. Relatively fast service and the fee is about $15 AUD. You can get an ecocard and withdraw via ATM without having to withdraw to bank account but I haven't tried this. Not all online casinos have ecopayz options but I much prefer it to neteller.

Neteller is quite good though but when I have used it in the past for some reason I get charged $15 withdrawal fee from Neteller and another $10-$15 bank fee from my bank (commonwealth bank) so all up its about $25-$30 and the money arrives in my account approx 3-5 business days after requesting withdrawal whereas ecopayz usually arrives 1-2 days later minus the $10-$15 bank fee. Neteller is much more popular option though and pretty much any online casino that has e-wallet will have this option. Neteller also has an option to purchase a neteller card to withdraw via ATM which might be cheaper than ecopayz but I haven't tried this yet too.

Never tried click'n'play I'm satisfied with ecopayz never had an issue withdrawing with them and been using it for almost a year now. When you can though bank transfer is the best but when you can't ecopayz is great.
