Is this to demeaning? Is the fact that they are banned and this is shown for all to see more then enough embarrassment? I just like to know out of curiousity and to refresh myself with the rules. This would not be meant to humilate or embarrass that member. just a thought

Or you can just ask

I'll freely give members info on why any member is banned.

Most people are banned for spam, so it would be a boring list. In fact, most members shouldn't even worry about a "wake-up call, since no one here is a spammer (I hope ).

Only on rare occasions someone gets a spanking (a suspension). And this is only after warnings, etc., and you usually see them coming.

Just about everyone here knows how to act in a social gathering - being banned shouldn't cross anyone's mind unless you're considering calling someone a m&*^f*$%king a#$hole. And unless that's your first post, you would probably be reprimanded via an infraction or other warnings.

But back to the stats page, I don't really want to focus on the negative - especially when it doesn't happen too much.

How about a 'We miss U' column where we show that we miss regular posters with a high post/day rate but who havent posted for the past 90 days. TB comes to mind on this one as well as Johnsteed.

I totally agree with everything you've stated and as soon as I posted that I thought it was ridiculous, so my apologies. There was only one time when someone got me so riled I was ready to tell them what I thought, and I recall I had asked "Bryan, can I tell someone?" At that point you had immediately stepped in. But that was way back and was due to days of what I think you might call "trial by fire?" Anyway, although my curiousity has got the best of me when it comes to finding out why a member was banned, to add a link like this would demean all that is Casinomeister, and as I said, it was off the cuff and a completely stupid, selfless idea. My sincere apologies for even suggesting it. But, thanks for responding!!

just click the banned user's name and choose find all posts by user, and read the most recent few. more likely than not you will find the offending posts causing the ban.

now i should at least make a suggestion, how about post of the week, like the post written in the past week that received the most thanks (and isn't a winner ss).

There may be some merit in this idea, especially if it could be set up to reflect the views of the majority of posters on the forum, although I'm not sure how that could be achieved.

It would reflect quality rather than quantity, which the new forum "leader board" presently portrays.

Just throwing these out there, not sure how we'd do some of them, but ...

How about a running total of PABs resolved in the history of Casinomeister, or maybe even a "dollars paid out" thing like MacDonald's "8 Billion Served".

Daily "Thanks" totals? Weekly? Monthly?

Total number of visitors: Daily? Weekly? Monthly?

How about a list of top 5 casinos (or groups) tallying the PABs currently in process? (I would assume Virtual would be the all time winner, but hope their reputation is catching up with them and they aren't a current 'featured' PAB group.) Casino A: 5 Casino B: 3... Number would fluctuate as PABs are resolved or casino is put on warning or in Rogue list.

Not sure of the hassle involved to do this, but it's just a thought. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes that we aren't aware of. This idea might not be doable as the casinos and Bryan might take exception to in process PABs being involved.
