PokerStars Commercial Banned by German Broadcasters

This commercial was banned by broadcasters in Germany for being too violent and upsetting. It is pretty crazy but nowadays this stuff is on TV all the time. Watch for yourself and share what you think about it.

A commercial that is so over the top about an industry that is not all that highly thought of, is plain stupidity, IMO. Too many government officials already tout that gambling is immoral and dangerous to the poor public.

I am not surprised at all that this commercial was banned. Was it right to ban it? Probably not. But then again, governments aren't always operating with a full deck!

I thought it was kind of a dumb commercial for a pokersite, however it shouldn't be banned and i did love how danny boy pulled out the pistol and shot the guy in the head.

I absolutely agree - this is a really stupid ad under the circumstances and an uncharacteristically bad judgement on the part of the PokerStars marketers imo.

This is one of the stupidest things I've seen in a long time - glorifying violence as if it's some game on Play Station 3. Good going PokerStars! What a bunch of idiots.

One thing I can say is that this probably never got anywhere near the German broadcasters. #1 - it's too long. Most commercials in Germany are 30 seconds or shorter. #2 - it's entirely in English.

I ought to throw them into the rogue pit for stupid casino tricks
