    Pitbull Poker Closes

After a superuser scandal and the refusal of Pitbull to cooperate with players it is being reported by several outlets that Pitbull Poker has closed. The owners cleaned out the office in the middle of the night a couple of days ago. Players widely agreed Pitbull Poker had the worst software imaginable and wasn't even secure/encrypted. They will only be missed by the very small handful of players that had money on there.

See, for instance, Pitbull Poker Shutdown Rumors Confirmed at Poker News Daily:
Poker News Daily can confirm that Pitbull Poker, a small site on the Flash Poker Network, closed down on Wednesday, according to a high-placed source. Contrary to rumors, no arrests were made in Costa Rica. The future of player funds held on the site is up in the air. more

It seems that the Pitbull Poker staff have been watching the owners (and there is apparently a third one in addition to 'Jordan' and this Kevin Baronowski guy) and are trying get the courts to keep them in Costa Rica until the staff have been paid.

Baronowski appears to have a colouful past to say the least and has reportedly been involved in previous 'iffy' activities.

    I hate that

I hate hearing stories like this - always a few bad apple in the world. I never played at pitbull - I won't play on independent networks unless they are well established like ongame or ipoker networks

    Thanks for the updates.

just checked it out for Sh&* & giggles

Funny the site is running and will be happy to take your deposit. But they have 0 players and no tables running. The casino is also accepting deposits

I hope affiliates pull the banners off there site.

    A very wise decision

Outfits like Pitbull Poker and their casino need to realise that players expect transparency, due diligence and are sick of wagering at clip joints.

    Cheers

The discussion about what to do with Pitbull has moved to this thread here where I am encouraging and email campaign against the sites whose affiliate banners now appear on the Pitbull website.
