It is very hard to have faith in QT after seeing them keep taking deposits like nothing was happening. They never sent out emails to their customers stating their withdrawal problems (unless you sent in a complaint). I do feel sorry for the employees of QT if their job is in trouble but I have no remorse for whoever is running the show over there. I highly doubt paying us is on the top of their to-do list.

Also... for some people it was not just for a hobby or for entertainment purposes.

If not a hobby or entertainment, what else would you call waiting for a cashout? There's obviously something I'm missing here so please explain. thank you Candee

    Unhappy

I would strongly advise anyone considering opening an offshore account for gaming consult their lawyer first I.e. do not rely on anything said on an internet forum..there are too many self-appointed backyard attorneys here sometimes.

I would hate to see anyone here get into trouble.

Well I think some people gamble for a living. They may depend on this money for paying bills and supporting their families. Online gambling might be their primary source of income. Some players may have had quite a bit tied up in QT.

Here is an article about the impact of the poker sites shutting down. I am thinking QT shutting down had simular effects on many.

So Felicie... does this explain it better or am I missing something?

    Felicie,

    I strongly disagree. You cannot dictate a person's feelings/opinions.

I have every right (and many others) to be angry. Personally? It is not about the money for me, it is about principle! QT continued to conduct business as if all was normal knowing damn well their funds were tied up. If it was not for this forum and the outcry of members many players would not have known. I was blown away when I did a google search weeks ago & numerous poker/gaming forums got the word of QTs' issues from Casinomesiter.

QT was NOT honest about this situation from the onset of this mess. If it wasn't for Bryan's inquiring, we might not have had answers for weeks! My financial loss is a pittance in comparison to others. I consider it a wash. The employees of QT that are affected, I feel for. The players who have monies in limbo? I feel for even more so. QT is a customer service based company. We as consumers, deserve upfront, honest communication.

I never take the outlook of the world is trying to screw me. QT is not my world! I am smart enough to see writing on the wall. It was a gamble for all of us to use these processors knowing full well DOJ has been on a witch hunt. That does not make QT in the right & as I said before I will sit back and wait for more news to follow.

Also, affiliates from America probably used qt as a way to get paid often I would assume?

    checks

Could QT not send checks to US players? As they are no longer conducting illegal business with the USA, would the DOJ not allow them to send checks or even do wires? This is exactly what happened with PokerStars, as the DOJ even said publicly they were not blocking payments to players.

On one hand I am very happy that QT is communicating with players but on the other hand there are many oddities, least of which is why is their website not up for people to check their records and to confirm whether or not casinos actually sent money there in the final days?

On a somewhat unrelated aside, any news at all from EwalletXpress? QT's shutdown seems to be attracting a lot more attention than EWX's demise, yet EWX's website remains open. There is now a "merchant help" section.

Unfortunately, I have money tied up in both

    Thumbs down

Still waiting here too, I replied to that email 2 times telling them i had a euro account, and was ready to get payment, but no response.

Think there trying, either that or just wasting more time so they have a chance to hide there $$
