I must be dumb as a rock. What good is selling a tarnished casino? The name is not exactly stellar at this point, and if the player base isn't included, I don't see how they could ever make it. Unless they already bought their player base from elsewhere.

    Crap! I hate being confused!

selling player list to affiliates ????

So am i right in thinking that my personal info i signed up to buzzluck with is for sale to the highest bidder ?
If that's true Zebedy...it's disgraceful. I take it that Alex lost quite a bit of money in his Buzzluck venture...seeing as how he posted it had been an expensive lesson. But that's no excuse to try and recoup his losses by selling player details (and who knows just WHAT details are involved) to affiliates.

They're closing anyway...but IMO, that's just cause for a trip to the dark side aka the rogue list.

No, sorry, that was supposed to be a sarcastic bit of humor at the end of a long day in reply to an affiliate that was acting... well let's just say silly.

Your details from Buzzluck are not for sale.

I had anticipated a deal where Buzzluck would get its necessary cash injection to live and would live on in Europe and open in the US. That deal fell through, although it occasionally gurgles like it has some life in it....

Something positive may yet happen to the Buzzluck brand, which has suffered a tad over this period of negotiation. I certainly hope so as some positive ROI would be most welcome.

But I can't afford to keep the casino as operated by me open any longer; hence the attempt at an orderly and clean closure--notifying hosting, affiliates, players etc.

I would have announced it here first, at our best and favourite affiliate and best source of legitimate players, but CM was down as you know.

    Alex

BTW Buying player lists and player bases has very little value these days guys. Who responds to spam (other than spam-hunters)? No players of value. Those days are over... places like this thankfully help bring them to an end. Good players look for brands with good reputations, which is why I'm working to keep Buzzluck's, and my, reputation as clean as possible.

Well, that's good news Alex. Thanks for clarifying.

Sorry to see Buzzluck or rather Alex waving goodbye but on a positive note they have always paid their players. I did not see any complaints lately although they had taken a low profile in recent months. I believe that Alex will pay all players the balance in their accounts and hopefully affiliates as well.

It is always despairing to see a good casino go due to financial problems but at least this one tried to honour all its commitments. I give it a big
    senseless gambling addict

Oh I won't be gone for long, mate. Learned a lot from the experience and will soon be unleashing at least a better-then-Buzzluck-personal-service treatment very soon.

I believed (and still suspect if it had enough cash behind it) that stuff like the 3d lobby and live lounge WILL work to bring in more square players. Experienced players like yourselves would take or leave those aspects and focused (fair enough) on service and payouts and (a bit) on the games themselves rather than the brand wrapper.

So when I come along with a deep-pocketed partner and a simple RTG download and reasonable (for the market) speed payouts and EXCELLENT personal service, hope you'll come on board. Probably North American only to start.... sorry about that.

Thanks for the kind words though.

Alex, I still believe that you guys would be going strong and financially sound if you had not held off on allowing players from the USA to sign-up.

Why did you guys ever make that decision in the first place mate? I mean, really...we all know that the US Market is the best one there is...so why, what was the point?

You may well be right but two things held us back:

    1. reliable payment processing partners--they're out there but we don't know them (well enough, yet) and if you go with the wrong guys it's nightmarish...

    2. some of our investors were very worried about taking US play--especially if longer term we wanted to sell the company/brand, US players would seriously decrease the number of potential buyers.

But the BEST parts of the Buzzluck experience will certainly be rolled into my next casino...

That's good news then Alex, you definitely had a great concept there, something that was very unique to this industry. You can be proud of that fact, and you were one of the pioneers in making that realization become implemented.

I wish you luck in your future business ventures.

All of which goes to show that there can be a fine line between being cynical and jumping to conclusions <grin>

Sorry to hear that your innovative operational approach with Buzzluck - I was a fan and was both pleased and admiring to see such a dynamic and interesting start - failed, Alex.

Here's hoping your next venture will bring you the success that your innovative thinking deserves.
