Cherry Red locked my account with my money in it, simply because I won't call them.

After hearing that a lot of people here like CR, I opened an account and made my 1st deposit. Play was going quite well and I got a popup saying i had to call them to verify my info or else my account would be terminated. Through the entire multitude of casinos i've played at online, I have never once been asked to call any of them, even when i cash out. If there's a problem, email and live chat more than suffice.

I don't discuss private info by phone to anyone, let alone some online casino in another country. I told them all this in live chat and they said "it's their policy" to require phone verification. If that's true, then why didn't they require it BEFORE they let me deposit? Now my cash is in there and I can't get it out. No other casino i've spent at has ever asked this. Money is money, and they don't really care about your info until it's time for them to pay YOU.

I have sent a refund request to the casino. They better have the $ back in my account right away.

this phone requirement is the most ridiculous thing i have heard. You have to verify who you are (after filling out all your info once already at signup) just to play? Can you imagine a land-based casino asking to see your personal info every time you put money in a machine? Insane.

Anyone else go through this? I sure wouldn't give them a nickel if i knew had to call them 1st. sheesh.

I cashed out from them twice earlier this year and don't recall ever having to phone them. Just had to send in the usual docs. I tried to access their webpage to see if they had a change in policy, but for some odd reason I have been unable to reach their website for the past 6 months

At any rate, whats the big deal? Just call them. If they asked you for this type of phone identification, perhaps they had a reason to suspect you had multiple accounts or something more sinister.

So if you don't have anything to hide, I don't see the problem in calling them, especially if you things were "going quite well".

You could always try PMing the rep for Cherry Red, Louise. She should be able to sort things out for you and usually responds pretty quick.

I would get angry at this as well since I only have a mobile and that is a mobile that is paid by work. They would not appreciate me calling a casino overseas.
I would have them call me wich has happened in some casinos and that i do not mind. But I would mind having to call them..

Do you mean to tell me you are not allowed to make private calls on your work phone? Then you ought to get a private number. Why make your life more complicated than it needs to be?

@slotomatic I don't understand your problem. You are willing to give an online casino your private information (name, DOB, street address, banking details) but you won't call them on the phone.

Sorry - but this is not worthy of a PAB and I don't pay Max to deal with frivolous complaints. Call them and be done with it.

Won't make a different to call them when they already have your information on file anyway. Every casino works differently. They only doing their job by following their company policy. If you want your money back you need to call them. If you don't call them then they can't verify you. They are just protecting you and their company.

i only know this from clubworld casinos. always i made my first deposit fe on aladdins i got a popup they would have to call me and do some verification. its ok if they call me ;-) it was 2 minutes just repeating what i have entered in the cashier etc..

the only odd thing was i had to do this 3 times! for all cw casinos allthough they already had my docs on file and i received withdrawals. just a little annoying if you consider they all operate under one roof.

but why just aint give them a call?? you want your money and they really dont want you to do sth super extraordinary ;-).

maybe they also call you if you ask so you have no fees to pay ;-)--

    its just a call.....

    cheers
