Angry Intertops and their "Geo-IP blocking software"

This issue has been going on since November 5th (over a month now). I am not one to be frivolous or jump the gun and post complaints without trying to resolve with the casino directly first.

There have been way too many exchanges of emails, to no avail and no solution to the problem.

Apparently, Intertops is claiming that Microgaming has a new policy (that its not Intertops' fault, although I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER MG CASINO). They said they have some new software, and apparently this software traces my IP address to Kentucky or some other banned state (first they said Kentucky in an email, then another rep. quoted Virginia in another email down the road).

I am in Maryland. Maryland is not one of the banned states.

Anyway, this email requests scanned and emailed docs (i.e. driver's license, utility bill, etc.) to verify that I am not in one of the banned states, and they will unblock it.

I sent those documents TWICE now. They acknowledged they received it, and say they keep checking with Microgaming. This "checking" and runaround has gone on long enough.

To make matters worse, I STILL get the introductory email, talking about the IP locating software, and requesting docs. That is EXTREMELY frustrating.

When I login to the Intertops site itself, I can see my account. They even said it was unblocked and ready to use at one point. WRONG. When I login to the MG download platform or the flash site it still comes up with the error msg, not allowing me to log in.

What I really really hate (besides the fact I deposited HUNDREDS of dollars there over the past year, if not more), is that I was ready to use their $50 no-deposit bonus they sent to me by snail mail.

It has an expiration date, which passed, but they assured me I would receive it. I even saw it in my acct when I logged in to the website, BUT I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO LOGIN TO MG TO PLAY FIRST!!!

I don't know what else to do...I emailed all 3 or 4 of their email addresses, and I even sent a msg to the Rep. that is listed for Intertops on this site.

I have all the emails saved, and the error msgs, so if any of the moderators or Bryan want to see, or need my account number, just please PM me.

I hope someone can help me with this.

Although the Intertops rep here, michlposch, hasn't been around in a few weeks you should try PMing them.

If that doesn't work out let me know and we can start talking about a PAB.

In the meantime you might want to review the Pitch-A-Bitch FAQ to get you up to speed on the process.

And FYI, you could have found the rep yourself, they are listed on the I-Gaming Forum Reps list which I can only hope you already knew about.

    Maxd,

Yes, actually I do know where the list is, and that is where I got his name from and PM'd him, with no response. I will try again. Usually I do have luck PM'ing the reps that are listed here, and have had positive experiences. This was the first one that did not respond, but like I said, I will give it another go.

    Thanks
