Actually, it has happened before. Gamblers Lobby from way back is one that comes to mind. And they owed about $15,000 grand. That's all.

I'm not sure how much HJ owes, but it looks like they owe just about everyone.

No idea, but like I mentioned, they have access to player account information and will still have all the info at hand on making payments. I hope it is only an issue of "when" and not "if"

Well, it DOES show that all the other rogue RTG casinos operate with the blessing of RTG, as if RTG can shut this one down, they could exercise the same sanction against Virtual and others, that have robbed players of far more than HippoJo, and continue to do so.

This goes against the "excuse" that these others operate because RTG has a "hands off policy (what us? - we just supply the software)", they can, and will, act when they want to.

    Hi,

Is this officially closed? Or is there any chance that any of us will see anything? 10%? I can hope.

Meister, please warn us if any of these people ever try to open or run a casino ever again.

Yeah, they will act if and only if THEY dont get paid. As to whether the players get paid they could care less.

    H'o Jo Blows

Why can't these operators be charged with wire fraud? They accepted money knowing that they would not be able to pay it back. It would at least pin them down. And I'd certainly forfeit some of my money for a class action suit. I mean, this is simply wrong, and would never happen again if it hit the software providers in the right spot. Surely enough people have been burned to warrant an investigation.

    Any thoughts?

You'll have to FIND them first - and then get them before a court, and I bet they are NOT in Australia (where the "brains" behind this lumbering beast seem to have originated), more likely somewhere like Costa Rica, where they cannot he held accountable. RTG themselves are holed up there, and can't be touched either.

This is my first day back at work after being out for a week - and I have further news...

One of the operators contacted me and has been in touch with the owners concerning payments. There are approximately 25 accounts that should be hearing something in the next few days. For those players affected, please let me know if they actually contact you. Thanks!

I'll believe it when I see it, not the first time we've heard that they'll contact us.. But I guess this is far better than no news at all.

Thanks again for your help Casinomeister, IF they are trying to fix this I have a feeling that your involvement is one of the biggest reasons for it.
