Such a standard already exists, the US Dollar. It doesn't work though, as players from other countries end up paying extortionate fees simply to convery their currency into standard casino chips. Players prefer to play in their own currency (except for "bonus abusers", who prefer to eat the costs of playing in UK Pounds

) as there are no "hidden" costs in the conversion, and if they are charged any fees, it is obvious.
