    GRAND BANKS DOES IT AGAIN!!

I had mentioned this problem in another thread but they have now taken the problem to a whole new level. I deposited $250 into Grand Banks Casino at the beginning of May before I was aware of their bad reputation. I received a $275 bonus. I played through the wagering requirements and confirmed that i had completed them with their customer support team. I had a total of 500.01 at this point ($250.01 profit) I withdrew my money and was told that it would take 7-10 business days to process. Over 10 business days passed and they told me they would contact the financial department. Another week and another passed. I contacted them a few times during that period and they said the manger has been notified, your withdrawal is being made a priority, you should receive it soon etc etc. Now today, a full month after initiating my withdrawal I receive the following email from them

Based on your recent activity at Grand Banks, your account has been system
flagged for apparent bonus abuse. As such, your play and bonus will be
void and your initial deposit returned.

    From our Terms:
"Players who endeavour only to meet minimum playthrough requirements of a
given bonus, exhibiting 'bonus hunter' characteristics, will have their
accounts automatically flagged and audited. Should the security department
determine that a new player account was set-up solely to exploit this
bonus, the player may forfeit their bonus money, any winnings gained under
this promotion and their deposit returned."

    Clarence Evans
    Manager - Grand Banks Casino

What does this mean? i played my full wagering requirements, and withdrew because of their horrible reputation that i learned of! As well as the fact that my goal was to leave with $500 and once i was down to the $500 mark i didnt want to risk dropping any further. Are they saying that their WR's arent really their wagering requirements? Did they want me to continue to play untill i lost? I contacted CS and asked to speak to a manager, they refused to connect me with a manager. I told them to go ask the manager personally. The manager relayed to me via a CS rep that my original deposit would be returned, my account was closed, the matter was considered closed, i would not be paid. Is this a joke. i had never played at their casino before nor has anyone i know. I have not defrauded them in anyway! i deposited, played through the full WR's, confirmed this and withdrew. Imagine if something like this happened in a live casino! What makes them think they can get away with this? I'm becoming incredibly frusturated with the online gaming business. I'm gonna fight to get my money on this one, but then i need a break.
How do you deal with these guys all the time Bryan!? Help!

Pretty disgraceful behaviour by Grand Banks but I think you are on a loser here. Bryan has already rogued them once and I reckon they are not the sort of people who are bothered about being rogued twice!

Bryan has already written on the site to avoid this group at all costs.

    Real T & C

The problem is in the wording of the T & C.

    Here is the corrected version.

    Playthrough requirements.

As any wager could return a sizable win, players are expected to wager their bonus and deposit until such time as all of the following are met.

Deposit and bonus must be wagered 25x

To show commitment to fair play, the bonus must then be wagered till the balance is equal to the sum of the initial deposit and bonus less the amount of the bonus granted.
You are then at liberty to cancel your membership and cash out, or wager until your balance has gone, at which time you will qualify for a totally outrageous bonus offer!

I know, I know. I literally found the bad info about Grand Banks the day that I deposited there. There has to be some recourse right? Can they really just get away with this?

Thanks for playing at GrandBanks Casinos!"

I had a look at this casino and once i saw that in the T&Cs i ran a mile!
It makes a complete mockery of having T&Cs in the first place.
How on earth can they promote a bonus, give bucket loads of T&Cs to get the bonus, and then say.....Oh.. and if you do manage to still have your bonus intact at the end of the W/Rs if you dont have a good go at losing it we will take it anyway!
If you have completed the W/Rs without breaking one of the many T&Cs i feel for you....you have been ROBBED!

PAB seems to be down at the moment so I posted a complaint with these guys http://www.igcouncil.org/ (As well as with playtech), anyone think they have any power to force Grand Banks to do the right thing for once?

    Honestly... NO.

I think your best bet is to have the Casinomeister look into it... he has had dealings with the owners of this group before. He is traveling at the moment... I'm sure he will get to it when he returns.

Unfortunately it seems; Yes, they can get away with it.
They have been 'getting away' with screwing players for at least 4-5 years already - I can't see them stopping in the near future.

If you're new to online casinos you will find many have similar 'woolly' T&C's (we reserve the right to take your bonus back without giving good reason) - even the reputable ones - but it's only the rogue ones who will actually invoke these rules.

Sorry to hear you got caught out - you are not alone.
I hope Bryan or someone can help you - don't give up!
    Good luck in the future!
Snow's over - back to work - nothing to see here...
