Confused about the best posting award.

Don't take this as a complaint. I'm just a little confused.

I received that automated message today about the best posting award. It really makes no difference to me who wins, I'm just glad that people appreciate some of my posts. But when something doesn't make sense I just have to ask questions regardless of how important it is.

The thing that confused me is that it shows one of my posts tied for first. I received second according to the award on the post and the message I received said I was awarded for third. lol

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy with 2nd, 3rd or even 10th as long as someone enjoys what I write.

But still... maybe someone can give me the quicky run down on how it works? Because right now I'm just staring at it, blinking.

Yep, I'm about ready to step out the door in a few.

The posting awards needs some catch-up work. Each fortnight, there is a winner who is given the opportunity to chose a charity and I donate $100 towards this. Problem is I'm backlogged and I have some catching up to do. I'll be making this happen when I return.

There's no rush. The only confusion was that I got first, second and third which actually puts me in sixth, which is cool too.

My daughter use to spend all her time sitting on a horse that liked to jump over fake fences and she won ribbons. When my friends or family asked how she did I use to say, oh she took all the ribbons, you should have been there. I believe that's what you have done, and ya didn't even have a horse.
