private message not working emails on here?

Says I can't set due to my settings being private??? How can I turn this off. I don't even remember turning it on in the 1st place.

Go into User CP, look on your left and click on edit options then look to see if your Private Messages have a check box next to it. If not click on that and you should be okay.
