You've got robbed. You should've won both hands. A9 is higher than JQ and 2Ks is higher than Ace high. The Joker is the same as an Ace in this case.

That's why I'm glad I was low-rolling! Support argued that the joker is only an ace if played as a pair (wtf!).. since it was only $10, I just cashed out and started giving my business to another casino.

You should not give up, since it seems to be an error in the casino software. The rules (taken from another MG casino, since I don't have All Jackpots on my computer) say: "The Joker can only be used to complete a Straight, Flush, Straight Flush or Royal Flush. Otherwise the Joker is treated as an Ace." You should ask for your money back and tell the casino to take it up with Microgaming.

I know I shouldn't give up, but three emails explaining how to play pai gow got me nothing but three responses that I was wrong. At this point, I'm happy to warn other pai gow players, and keep my own play elsewhere.
