According to my experience only Euro Partners casinos (Bellini, Del Rio, etc) do this pop-up thingy. I have the feeling that they might lose customers because of that, at least I know one who is annoyed because they sometimes simply do not let you play alone, their operators open a pop-up during slot play 5-6 times / minute!!! Finally she gave up playing there. Once I heard from her that despite of closing the chat window each time it was reopened not less than 15 times in ten minutes. It's a sure way of making the customer run away.
Casinos from that group sometimes also pull the delayed promotional email trick, they lure you into a deposit by sending out a promotion expired a week ago.
And one final point, which is only an assumption, but I strongly believe that live chat operators belong to that group get some kind of CPA or revenue share for recruiting new players in other casinos within the group via live chat sessions. I know a player who was offered to sign-up to another casino via a special download link, and another who was offered to mention a code like livechat before the first sign-up to get another 50 bonus - and presumably the CPA for the live chat agents. I say once again that this is an assumption, but the pieces actually fit together quite well.
