Angry You Know What Pisses Me Off?

Whenever I see an affiliate thanking a poster who is trash talking a casino, I look at their site and lo and behold, the affiliate actually lists that casino and makes profit on any click throughs on his site.

In my opinion that stinks. It shows a remarkable lack of ethics. It shows a person with a huge ego, one who has no qualms about bad mouthing the casino he represents. Would you trust this person to help you with problems with this casino?

How do you trust an affiliate that would act this way?

    You don't.

    Question Question

Who are the affiliates you speak of, are they identifiable as affiliates?

Just curious who members that are affiliates are.

    PM me if you want.

First, I hope you're not talking about me!

"one who has no qualms about bad mouthing the casino he represents"
Personally I do not "represent" any of the casinos I promote (I'm not employed by them), I merely recommend them because I believe them to be good casinos. But if any of those casinos do something with I believe to be unfair, unethical or whatever, I will not hold back in letting it be known that I am unhappy with their actions.
If it's a serious issue & the casino does not put it right I will pull them from my sites.
(A recent example was BetFair - from Recommended to Rogue List in the blink of an eye! )

Also, If a poster brings something to my attention about a casino which I wasn't aware of (and the "something" could be a good thing, even in a critical post) I will thank them for the information.
    IMO "thanking" a post does not necessarily mean you agree with everything the person has said;
The definition is "X has thanked Y for a Useful post" (I believe it used to be "X has thanked Y for a Useful and Informative post")... Anyway, it's not "X has thanked Y because he agrees with everything stated in the post".

    Just my opinion!

    Agreed! but even WORSE is......

    To: Jod
An affiliate who endorses a casino that he/she knowingly knows is rogue just for personal profit. I see that as close to theft as it gets. I'm not referring to anyplace specific, but it wouldn't take more than a minute to discover one.

("knowingly knows" ?? Yikes! so much for that time spent in college.)

    To: KasinoKing,
From what i have found, you sir, are an exception. There is no question that your adherence to that policy will result in a loyal, growing client base that can be relied upon for a steady income- and I for one, am more than fine with that. It kills me that I signed up for some sites i deposit at before learning anything about the affiliate side of it. Financing an unethical affiliate site really chaps my hide. Is there any way to remove my attachment to an affiliate? It would be great to be able to reset myself and reward the worthy. It would also get us one step closer to pushin the [insert your expletive here] out of business!

I think it comes down to this sentence that KK wrote:

"If it's a serious issue & the casino does not put it right I will pull them from my sites."

That's real and practical commitment imo.

I don't see anything wrong with an affiliate in particular cases voicing criticism of a casino he/she is promoting, and in fact I know of several affiliates who will take that criticism further and engage with the casino management to rectify what's wrong.

Where bad casino behaviour is consistent and repeated, in major and serious cases like the Betfair issue, or where a solution is not forthcoming due to management arrogance or dishonesty....those are cases where an affiliate's ethics are open to judgement imo.

Me too! I hate the damn things. Especially at 8:00 in the morning on the only day I get to laze around.

What good does it do anyway? first breezy/windy day or storm (and we get a lot of those) and woosh! everything that was blown off the walk/drive/whatever is right back where it was and out comes the leaf blower again???
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

What pisses me off... when you are replying to a thread and kaboooommm the power goes out and you are suddenly sitting in the dark cause it's 2:30 in the morning. The plus side to it though, there's enough lightning so you can see to find the matches to light candles
