Well the problem is that now all of these members have to go read some t/c's to a forum they never asked to join and/or opt out. So I'm sure you can understand why some members are upset. It has nothing to do with old ezboard days or sponsers.

Usually I see a mail go out saying, 'hey go check out this forum'. Setting up a membership transfer is entirely different.

Gotta give Wayne credit for something...today he's posted quite plainly and openly at P4K a reminder of the T&C's people might have missed when they originally signed up, and giving them an opt-out.

    Me...
Most of your membership signed up under the old Playin4Keeps. Was that term on the original registration page?
    You...
Playing4keeps YUKU site does not permit anyone to take email addresses or stuff like that. If you had of researched a little more,
    Point taken, if true.

    But you missed this bit...
Just as we expect players to read the T&C's on bonuses, I guess it's time we all make sure we read the T&C's on the forums we join, beyond the cursory glance at the "no obscenity, no plagiarism" blah blah bits.
That was actually in support of you. Don't let hatred blind you to the point that you miss the good parts.

Seriously though...would it have killed you to have at least taken a poll of your loyal followers asking if they minded that you gave over their info? You may have been in the right technically, but morally a head's up would have the way to go. Instead, people are getting unwanted, unasked-for emails.

Jumpstars, you might want to back up a little bit. When you moved from Yuku you changed the name of the site and moved all the members over to your new site. We didn't have to resign up anything and that was a years ago. As I recall the email said just enter you old user and password.

You have changed sites so many times it's ridiculous. Last I heard Christine was taking over the site again after you "stole" it from her while she was sick, in rehab or whatever.

I don't care what you say your Terms and conditions are. Unless you can produce the old t&c's that states that I agreed to have my personal information given out to whoever, you had no right to give my information out. As far as I am concerned when the Yuku site was closed, my connection with you was terminated.

And as for my user name, you know it because it was on both emails I received. Delete it from any and all of your new ventures.

    Say what?????
That is where you are wrong again swamp,

Playing4keeps YUKU site does not permit anyone to take email addresses or stuff like that. If you had of researched a little more, you would have found the email we sent to all OLD Playin4keeps members via yuku that we were closing Christine site down because she abandoned it and were moving to our NEW one.

All members at P4K Gaming had to sign up from fresh.
Let's see, who to believe....the scamming tool or the OP. Guess who has more credibility here?

And here's where Bryan has every right to put me on suspension for breaking his no flaming rule...You Wayne are a scamming, mouth-breathing fuckwit with the ethics of a Jim Baker.

Note the XXXXX's directly under the heading of the first email. That's was my user name for the original Playin4Keeps.

AND the 1st email I got said that they had just merged information and that P4K was still in business? Next one says that this new forum is in no way connected to P4K or it's contests.

My info is my info and if I want to sign up with a forum, I will. I don't need anyone else's help.

    Exclamation Admin Warning and Comments

I know some of you are riled about this, but please do not use abusive language in anger. Thank you.

Also, there are to be no forum wars in this forum. These discussions always spiral down to a flame war - that's not what this forum is about.

But on the other hand - this has caught my eye:

From time to time P4K Gaming networks with other sites and we may share your E-mail address and User name from P4K Gaming data base to these sites if:

1.) We think members will benefit in receiving great promotions, Contests or Give Away's.

If you do not want your info shared please send an e-mail to support@p4ks.com on the day you register so we can attach a note to your account
That is such BS - I should start a new category in the rogue pit for "Ethically Challenged Portals". So when you sign up you are automatically opted in to a spam list - and give the right for p4k so sell your email address and user name? WTF?

    No

No Brian that is not what it means, What it means is YES we will network with other sites to bringing the players more of an option. Members have that right to opt out just as a player is able to opt out of taking a bonus.

If we had of said, "P4K Gaming has the right to sell your email" then i would understand. Casinos network amongst each other, They share information. I have had my own details shared a number of times. Why can't forums.

The only thing that is shared between myself and Jamies site are username so they can login and email address. We do not hold any other information about our members by choice.

So far apart from Annie mac most of our members have visited Jamie from what he has said and have not complained.

If members are worried about this and don't want it done, I invite them to contact us to let us know and we will review in what we share.

If it comes to a SPAMMER, Then we have every right to share and network with others to prevent it happening.

Plain and simple, If you do not like our terms you do not have to sign up that is all I am saying. In respects to providing there details to Jamie, Alot of members know him and trust him. It's not like I made money off this or send the details to a known spammer, Then i would be liveried. believe it or not, I respect all our members.

In response to Annie mac claiming we transferred the database from YUKU Playin4keeps. I suggest you send a friendly e-mail to the OWNERS of YUKU and ask if this can be done, Because i am 300% sure you will be told board owners do not get access to YUKU database emails.

Here is there direct E-mail address if anyone would like to confirm this, We are not and never have claimed we are following the site on for Christine. We have always been upfront and honest about what we are doing at P4K Gaming and informed the members. here is the link to ask away at YUKU http://www.yuku.com/help/ticket

    Annie Mac

Why dont you post your user name from our site and I will publicly post the date log when you joined. Its that simple!!! I will also delete your account from our mailing list as you clearly do not want to receive emails from us, I will also ASK Jamie to do the same.

Unless you know what you are talking about please refrain from making stupid allegations.

One more thing Annie Mac, If you bothered to notice Dolphsldy is once again working with us.

I apologize to brain for starting name calling and getting angry, But it is hard from my point of view trying to explain things as i am not that well educated like some of you.

I don' think there is much more reason to continue this original topic as we have had no complaints other than the ones in this thread about it.

But please leave Jamie out of this, He is 23 probably alot smarter than me, He does not deserve to be set upon from any of you that has issues with me.

Why can't forums? Two wrongs don't make a right, that's why.

When people sign up at your - or any forum - they should be assured that their private info is to remain private. Giving third party access (what you refer to as "networking") is wrong - no matter if it's your "agreement" policy or not. There is a difference between sending your members promos etc., from your mail server and giving the information out to others. This is covered in Business Ethics 101 - perhaps you need a brush up course?
