Question Casino bonuses (and a question to KasinoKing)

    Hi there,

I am quoting the statement above from thread : http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...-me-money.html

I am also after 100% bonuses, but in most cases nowadays the only games allowed for completing the wagering requirements are slots and/or video slots. So I am a bit sceptical about claiming these bonuses, as I am not really fond of slots ( actually I like them a lot , but I seriously doubt if I can make any profit, compared to playing BJ or VideoPoker ).

So after reading that post from Kasinoking, I would like to ask him (or any of you who has similar experience!) if you find claiming these bonuses profitable or not.

    Thanks

Hi Tantalos. Playing with bonuses from casinos can indeed be profitable. Like you said though, many only allow you to play slots to complete the bonuses play through requirements. There are plenty of casino bonuses out there that still allow BJ and video poker though. I'd say the most improtant thing is to carefully read each promotions terms and conditions and follow them closely, as casinos will use any mistakes on your part as a reason not to pay you. So play it safe, know the rules and follow them closely, and they can end up being very profitable. Hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I used to be the same - I only started playing slots about a year ago - I imagined them to be a really bad bet. But I have had some surprisingly good results! (and some total disasters as well, of course! )
I started out with some MG's after seeing some great hits in the 'Winners Screenshots' thread.
I started off with low deposit, high bonus sites (Aces High, Maple & First Web) and to be honest I blew-out on all of those. But I went on to try some more when I was feeling like a bit of fun and was then more successful turning $100 into $475 at Havana, $100 into $370 at Colosseum & $50 into $200 at All Jackpots. Virtually all my play was on 9 & 15 line bonus video slots with very low stakes - often starting at the slot's minimum of 1c/line or 2c/line, and very rarely going above about 6c/line.
(Took bleedin ages to meet WR - but at least I got lots of playing time for my money! )
Recently I had a couple of other good results, like hitting the 5 Spring Breaks for 600 quid off a 54p bet , and turning a $100 deposit into an $800 withdrawal at another MG (all slot play again).

These days I get 100% monthly bonuses at about 6-7 places, most of which do actually allow BJ & VP in WR - but I've never really got into those games as I always seem to lose, so I would say only about 10% max of my play is BJ and only 2-3% VP. I prefer casino table poker games & slots.

Slot play has more variance than card games - but it swings both ways!
If you do decide to have a go - I wish you the very best of luck!
(I'll keep an eye on the Screenshots thread!)
    Smile, it may never happen...

I always find your posts interesting. I don't play much slots, but I can see why people do. They really are fun. I found a site, I'm not sure if I bookmarked it, that charted the progressive slots. Are you familiar with that and do you do that? Do you think any players chart the progressives and actually earn a profit in the long run, especially with taking bonuses? One thing's for sure, I think the casinos are "friendlier" to slot players.

I personally dislike any kind of "bonus" that has conditions, for the simple fact that, if I am on a hot streak and hitting at any given casino...I never take the bonus bucks...because I want to be able to cash out at any given time, without the possiblity of "meeting the requirement" and missing them and then a big hassell that some have gotten into just to redeem thier true winnings..

I do, once in a while, take the bonus, when I am in a rut for a long time.., not because I think I can win, but to break my losing streak with as minimal input of my own money as possible.

Once I break the streak for losing with my bonus dollars...I do go for the "T&C" stated just to see if I can meet the requirements to withdraw...but win or lose, using the bonus bucks...I did what I set out to do..get back on track winning with my own money..

    Hope this makes sense lol..

May all you buckets fill with coins and the jackpot be in the wings to spring!

That's what I do too. I do much better without bonus money. Being able to cash out whenever I like is worth more than any bonus any day.

Not to mention all the hassle I avoid.
