But today I worked my way up to a nice sum of $200 in total, played from a deposit of $25 .
Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain

I am going to be in Cambridge on the week of the 7th cant wait for all that lovely humidity.
Yep Jones, you'd best prepare yourself. Last week was actually beautiful here, but starting yesterday the humidity reappeared, and we are well into the 40's again. Not to mention the air quality, or lack of it. Neither myself or my little one even go outside in this unless absolutely necessary. Maybe it will be okay for you when you come to Ontario, I'll cross my fingers for ya.

And KK, yep that's me, and I don't think I'll ever change. I'm like the little engine that "thinks' he can, lol.

    Lightbulb Bad experience

Thank you all for your answers, even though they were not what I needed that day. I guess they were true, and now that it has been a while I can see it too. Sorry for making you part of my lousy day. And my dissapointment of loosing.

But i want to comment on Chuco´s reply and I quote: "Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain"
I really dont understand your last sentence but I think you will have to read my thred once more since this wasnt my "bad experience" I tried to share with you.

Anyways .... as you said, you were right: "that Is what gambling´s all about". We have an expression in Sweden that goes: "om du ger dig in i leken får du leken tåla" in english that means something like this: If you play the game_(want to win the game) you´ll have to stand loosing the game... or something like that.

    Bättre lycka nästa gång*

I advise you not to gamble amounts that will make you very frustrated if you lose, even if you can afford to lose it. This may cause you to do stupid things like trying to "win back" money, and then gambling can turn into a pretty scary experience.

    *better luck next time

That's the nature of the game. A game with a big progressive jackpot will have a poor payout to those who don't win the jackpot. That's why the game can have a big jackpot.

Did you think the game was +EV?

If you don't want to lose a vast majority of the sessions, stay away from games with big jackpots and play the games that have smaller wins instead. Then you will win more frequently.
If you can't stand losing at all, don't gamble.

Welcome to the mind game of gambling.

I have on occasions a couple years ago, put $500 through a $5 slot machine, hit for some small amounts maybe once or twce but it was gone soo fast. $3 a spin is a lot, with a $200 bankroll. I personally hate slot machines with a passion. But if you are going to play them, be smart.

The only way to do it is with a stuctured shut down an quit strategy. Play X number of spins, if you are not up by X amount or down by more than Y amount force yourself to quit. Or drive yourself mad wondering if that next pull would have been the jackpot.

"Bad experience - turned to a valuable lesson"

Since I cannot seem to find my thank you post to your replies I am sending it again.

Thank you all for your answers, even though they were not what I needed that day. I guess they were true, and now that it has been a while I can see it too. I AM SORRY for making you part of my lousy day! And my dissapointment of loosing.
But one thing though that I would like to comment on Chuco´s reply and I quote: "Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain" ..

I think you will have to read my thred once more since turning 25 to 200 $ wasnt my "bad experience" I tried to share with you.

I will stay away from the jackpots slots in the future, and I promise I wont post anything to the forum after me loosing my money at the casinos
