    CON Change in terms warning

Just noticed effective 5/13 CON has changed the terms of their bonus policy.

    Note the new clause
"*Please note: Any and all Bonuses and/or promotions and/or offers received via funds Deposited by NETELLER may be Cashed Out only after an amount totaling no less than 50 times the Bonus or promotion amount has been wagered. "

at the end of their bonus terms.

I don't really understand it yet - I played the $300 for their simple winnings on 5/14 and got the $30 but don't know if I can cash it out yet or if I have to play it 50X.

Likewise I won $$ in the mid-month raffle but don't know how much I have to play it. Although I have always deposited by Neteller, I would think the raffles would be exempt from the 50X, at least I'm hoping so.

I guess they must hate Neteller or something (excess fees?) because I guess I can avoid playing 50X by simply depositing using another method.

I asked their online support the other day and confirmed that the $30 from simple winnings is subject to 50x wr. So I just used Citadal. Have no idea about the drawing bonus, but if it requires a deposit, and if you deposited using Neteller, then the 50x rule applies. Of course you can always double check to make sure.

    This is a CON!

    This is a CON!

I e-mailed C.O.N. at the weekend, and the reply confirmed the above.

I for one never received any notification from the casino about this change, and I bet no-one else did either.

Not warning players that the WR has gone up from 2x to 50x is a low-down dirty trick which will net this casino literally $1,000's and $1,000's.

This is virtually theft which will have trapped 1,000's of players.
Who reads the T&C's every month once they've joined up?
I urge all players to complain in the strongest terms possible to CON about this blatant con.

    Ecogra will sort things out.

    http://www.ecogra.com/About/Details.asp?CasinoID=59

The primary objective of eCOGRA is to provide player protection, by providing comfort to the player that the games are fair, the player will be paid timeously and treated fairly, and that the operators will behave responsibly . Players will be assured of this when they transact with online gaming sites displaying the eCOGRA Seal of Approval.

In fact I bet that ecogra enforcers are kicking in the door at con at this very moment.
...if they're not lying on a sun kissed beach and sipping on a long cool drink provided by that non-profit making expense account.

A casino as big as CON, with such a famously soft bonus requirement, should certainly have added a simple update in the promo email they circulated for this event regarding this change. This is the kind of sneaky behaviour that shouldn't be tolerated from such an industry-leader, their technical right though it may be to do this. It'll set a very bad example.

As Eek says, I'm sure Ecogra are battering their Gibraltarian doors down as we speak.

However, in the event they aren't, file a complaint with them - assuming CON refuses to play ball, of course.

You did better than I did if you noticed the change before you made your "simple winnings" deposit. I was told by them in an e-mail it was effective 5/13 after my deposit. I suggest they rename the promo to "really difficult winnings".

Thanks for the suggestion of using Citadel. Would you have a link?, although I don't see them listed as a method of deposit. Anybody ever use ActEcash or Instdebit or checking account? Any fees with these methods? I still don't know why they are picking on Neteller - maybe too much funding of accounts where the name doesn't match, etc?

I'm not going to rock the boat until my largish pending cash-out is paid.

Perhaps in their defense I see now that the upcoming 888 day promo and Happy Hour Promo each say "NETeller rules differ. Please visit our Bonus Policy page for more details." Although Simple Winnings didn't say it. And other promos, like Successive Progressive, don't say it but it would seem maybe they should. And no mention of it in the VIP promos. I don't know why they wouldn't add the above to every promo.

Didn't it used to be that the terms of the specific promo outweighed the general terms? I would argue that since Simple Winnings didn't mention the Neteller, it shouldn't apply. Sounds like I'll lose of course.

Ultimately it will be simple enough to change deposit method but I think I can see the wave of the future here.

This change has been noted on this board about half a month ago when CON put the change in terms but hadn't implemented it yet.

I don't have a link. I just used that "Funding frrom Checking account" option in the cashier deposit interface and it works just as smooth as Neteller. There is no fee! But I don't know about the other methods.

Regarding your simple winning bonus, you can ask the support to remove it from your account (so you don't have to wager $1500 to cash out a $30 bonus).

This sounds like something Grief Club would do.

ACTeCASH is alright, the only problem is that the only way to fund your ACTeCASH account is via bank draft or other wire method such as Western Union or Money Gram. There are fees involved in all of those so they do offer a cashback bonus if you use Western Union, it is a percentage of whatever amount you deposit.

Not a big jump of deductive reasoning there, as Reef Club (which is who I think you're punning on) is a sister casino to CON.

And, for the record, Reef Club has the same stipulation of 50x the bonus if NETeller is used on all their bonuses except the Signup Bonus (or Initial Deposit Bonus, as they call it).
