    Real Time Gaming casinos

I am a little naive on these matters, so please forgive me if I am missing something obvious.

I am just wondering why Real Time Gaming, which has perhaps the best software available, which is fast, sharp and has some very nice games, is associated with so many frankly shoddy outlets.

It seems to me that this can only be a conscious decision by Real Time Gaming, to accept operators whose standards of probity and business ethics repeatedly fall far short of any honest person's expectation.

Things seem to be so bad, that the assumption is that a RTG casino is not a good place to play unless you have evidence to the contrary - where for say Microgaming or Wagerworks the player is given reassurance by the operator's name, with RTG it's the reverse.

I guess it can only be a conscious business decision to go for the bottom of the barrel, and increase profits by working with a large number of shoddy casinos than fewer more reputable ones. This seriously debases the reputation of their fine software, as well as those of the good guys like Bodog. Their dispute resolution system does little to dispel the image as a player-unfriendly site operated by casinos with more sharp practices than a knife factory.

Again apologies if this a chestnut, but the number of bad or player-unfriendly RTG casinos seems to be far out of proportion to what it should be.

Not sure it does damage those like bodog. As you said, RTG is one of the most player friendly softwares around and people enjoy playing there. However when you've got such a motley crue of rogues to choose from it is quite easy for a couple (bodog and obviously geisha if the meister agrees to endorse them) to really shine out.

Its certainly true that it damages the non rogue but non-exceptional ones but the ones people are really confident with probably do well. It'd be good if some adopted it as their marketing slogan "We may be RTG but we're not going to steal your money"

It is bizarre though that RTG takes so little pride in its work and is happy to deal with such unscrupulous operators for so many of its casinos.

Yep, there's definately good RTG's out there, just have to find them. I too wish RTG cleaned up their act and had a stricter policy for not allowing the rogues to operate with their software.

I would definately recommend King Solomons and Geisha lounge (both on the accredited list here btw). I had a 4 day cashout via KS, and a 2 day cashout via GL just recently.

I agree with everything except the statement about RTG being the best software out there. In my opinion, MG software is in a league of its own, with all of the others trailing way far behind.

I like RTG because the software is so clean and fast. Its a shame that I rarely play at a RTG casino because of the operators. Crypto is getting a bit slow especially since the new updates this year. MG software is far too bulky imo and sacrifices speed for flashy sounds and graphics.

If you want to speed up Cryto - just go into 'Settings' and turn off the animations. Then it's real quick - you can even play slots at about 40 spins a minute!

Not that I do that myself mind, I prefer a slower game, and even slow down MG cards when I play there!

Thx KK, although i was referring more to the loading times for Crypto and how it sucks a lot of resources from the computer.

    I couldn't agree less!
On my PC at least, Crypto's start up almost instantly and have no effect on other resources.
I much prefer it over Microgaming, with it's software loading (every time??? ), and which 'takes over' the whole PC - resizing the resolution, and not leaving my toolbar so I can switch between programs...

When you're in the games lounge @ MG, you can go to options and uncheck "full screen". This will let it run in a normal window just like any other program...

Microgaming is worse. The new version of Crypto is much more demanding resource wise compared to v4 which i really liked. Granted you get turbo mode with the new version but i do prefer my casino software to have more zip (I have several computers and it only runs nicely on my newest PC). Likewise i preferred the old MG (non-Viper) which was even better then v4 of Crypto. Mind you i've been playing for more than 4 years and have seen the changes in the software platforms.
