Having been told recently by one MG I was testing out that they "can't" reduce the Reverse feature down from 24 hours (although we all know they could if they wanted to) I thought it was time for a poll. To either find out if I'm alone in my misery or to provide some feedback to the casinos.

I see RW as evil - if i withdraw my money, i dont want to wait 24 hours until it gets processed. This casino told me it was a "highly valued feature" to most players...and probably even more highly valued to the casino! They said they would flush the withdrawal if i emailed them but 12 hours later it was still available for reverse.

So you can guess where I voted :)

I had a withdrawal last week at Colosseum Casino. I was informed on this forum that Colosseum will forgo the 24 hour pending period and expedite my withdrawal if requested by email but when did request it they said that they never do that and that I had to wait 24 hours during which I can reverse it if I want. They tried to say that it was necessary for auditing purposes. They made sure that they reinforced that I have the option to reverse it. The fact that Phoenician Group had instant withdrawals when they were RTG makes me wonder why MG casinos cannot do this. I do not understand what they are doing in this 24 hours that warrants them holding onto the money in a pending period. I think it is strictly so that the funds are accessible by the player, increasing the chance that the player will reverse it and give it all to the casino.

32RED and Spin Palace set mine to a very acceptable couple of hours instantly following live chat. They are always more than happy to 'flush' them too should I so desire.

That's just enough time for me if I decide on a cheeky little reversal, but not long enough for me to go mental the next day.

The Gaming Club strangely never changed my reversal time, but I don't play/win there often enough these days for it to bother me.

I agree it's absurd that a casino won't reduce/remove it - you should name and shame!

I remember once in Las Vegas when I walked up to the cashiers cage with my chips. They took them off me, then made me stand there until the following day - waving the dollar bills in my face from behind the cage and laughing.

RW button

I am in total agreement with you Simmo! That darn button makes me nervous too. The weekends are the worst, heck, it's all bad. Sometimes I do make it to the end of the pending period and when the money is gone, it feels so good to know I made it :D There is no pending period when we deposit, therefore should be none when we want to withdraw.

But you and I know that it's about self control. Of which I have not been showing much of lately. I have signs hanging all over the walls, saying don't even think about it, but I do  I think, we need a place in the forum like RW Annoymous where we can immediately, post that we just cashed in and get the wonderful support of those knowing what we are going through! Other than that, I guess we'll just keep feeling the way we do, until get tired of feeling that way. :(

I don't need to now ;)

Ah! I see. I thought that maybe The Gaming Club had just lost my email or whatever, didn't think they wouldn't actually do it!

I'm really surprised at Belle Rock, they seem pretty straight-up in all other areas!

Strikes them off the list permanently. That's a shame that is!

Welcome to the CM forums missm :) Actually thats a neat idea - we could have a thread where we keep a note of all those casinos that will bring it down for players when asked. Maybe even some casino reps will chip in.

Hell, I'll start us off:

32Red - only have a 4-hour RW as the norm, but like Slotster says, they bring it down if you ask.

Casino Kingdom - also did 1 hour for me too  Presumably Cooks would do on that basis too.

Reverse Withdrawl

The worst are some Playtechs, I play at one and seem to do pretty good but what really pi**es me of is I have to wait 4 days which is total BS, you cant even make a deposit while you have a withdrawl pending, I tried to make a partial withdrawl and they would have no part of it, and when you do a reverse the 4 days start all over again. I wish I didnt have so much luck there otherwise I would remove them and never play there again.

4 days is ridiculous jv. I couldn't put up with that personally. RW is doubly-evil in actual fact:

1) it encourages players to chase their losses
2) it gives casinos an excuse to delay payment

Let's be fair, its maybe not just a casino we should hold liable. Microgaming and Playtech probably sell it as a "plus point" to them. Lol. Well, it is to them i suppose - just not the player  Worth noting though: an MG (and Playtech?) casino cannot choose not to have RW, and MG only allows it to be set at a minimum of one hour I'm lead to understand. Cryptologic and Ecash have it exactly right IMHO.

Question though: would organisations supporting "responsible" gambling support the RW feature bearing in mind (1) above? I'm not very strong-willed I'll admit and any casino I've played in the past with 24 hour RW always suckers me back in. I'd always check i can have RW set to one hour before I'd play a casino now and if they won't do it, i wouldn't play. Plenty of choice out there after all :)

Cheers.

The more the casinos are trying to "pend" my money for withdrawal, the
more I want to cashout. :D

The only reason I wish the withdrawal process would be instant is so I could deposit some of that money in another casino. Apart from that, once I withdraw, I'm done playing in that casino for the week.

Ok, talking about knowing when you've hit your wagering requirements.. I'm getting worse!!! I deposited 100 this morning to get a 100% match bonus, with 10x wagering requirements... 2000 I thought, I should be able to guess that pretty accurately if I really really really try.

Anyhow, hit a good lucky streak following a few ups and downs, eventually deciding I'd fulfilled my requirements and used up my luck with a balance of around 1600, and cashed out.

Out of interest, I just spent a few minutes on Playcheck just to see how close I got....

Wagering required: 2000
Actual Wagering: 7950

How do you know from playcheck how to figure out wagering without counting each wager individually? Maybe I'm missing something :(

That's exactly it, but if you play the same slots a lot - it's really easy. Every 100 transactions page had pretty much entirely "4.50" or "9.00" wagering, hence 450 or 900. The ones where I'd swapped halfway through took a little longer but not much.

I agree it'd be a nightmare if you chopped and changed your wager all the time without cutting and pasting it into Excel.

the way to tell if u have met the wagering requirements is through comp points. if its 1 point for every $10 wagered, you then work it out like this. deposit $100 get $100. wagering req say are x10, so u must wager $2000. u would have 200 comp points, and wagering would be finished.

Good point

Again, Samurai demands operators to speak up about this. What is the
reason of holding my money before cashout?? Why don't you just zero-balance
my withdrawal request and process it internally? Does bestowing players
with the option of reversing withdrawal give players any benefit?? Please
tell me the "reasonable reasons" about it otherwise I will thrust you by
my Samurai sword! :D

I play the most on the weekends and even if the casino flushes your account it still doesn't get processed until Monday or Tuesday. I'm curious to see if anyone has ever won after redepositing. I never have! I also would like to have it processed right away so I could play at a different casino. It seems if you win big enough to withdraw....you won't win anthing else (there) for at least a week or longer. I am amazed when I read the occasional post saying the player went from one game to another collecting jackpot after jackpot. The whole thing makes me crazy.

Another reason the casinos like RW :) I must admit i dont usually withdraw to play somewheer else - i withdraw mainly so i can effectively set my session limit and then "that's it" for the day. But i'm usually back at the same casino once its back in NETeller.

'Occasional' is the key word here. Of course we hear about these rare occasions, but we don't hear from the thousands of losers.

It's like the National Lottery: Every week I hear someone has won the jackpot - but I never see a newspaper headline 'Millions of people lose a pound on the lottery!' :D
