I'm getting a Neteller ATM card...

...by accident. I was poking around the Neteller site. I clicked a link that said, "click here to apply for the Neteller ATM card." I thought it would just link me to the application for the card. It turns out if you click the link, you've applied for the card. Oh well. I was considering it anyway.

So be warned. If you don't want the card, Don't click this link.

Lol.

Have you seen all the charges they apply though weedlayer? Seems like everytime you open your wallet and touch it they charge you...ok, an exageration but worth looking at the fee schedule.

Cheers

Simmo!

As long as you don't use the card, there is no fee associated. So I just cut off mine and sent it to the garbage several months ago.

Happy Holiday~

That's how I got mine - by accident!

Have used it, but I find it very frustrating that you can't access your account details online and the charges suck!. Neteller have a LONG way to go - but why are they so slow??

Yes, I called them to confirm this. As long as you DON'T transfer money into your ATM, there is no charge. I didn't cancel mine and I didn't get any charge since I never transfer any money into my ATM account. That's all I know.

Happy Holiday~

Kasino King, I don't understand what you mean by "can't access your account details online". Please explain a bit further. Thx.

For me, I don't mind the charges for use of the Card. A couple bucks to withdraw to the Card, then $1.50 or so to pull it out of an ATM machine. What am I missing? $3.50 to pull out $500 immediately, without running it through your bank account. What's wrong with that?

happy user

I have had my card for a year and it is the fastest way of getting my winnings into my hands. It has the added advantage that once I have have put money on the card I cannot "recycle" it into any casino account. It will be extra handy tomorrow as I'm off to France to do some xmas shopping and have 400 Euros that I can draw out and invest in fine wine . You can check the balance from your Neteller account page.

If you're an international member of neteller then the funds in the neteller debit card are held in Canadian Dollars. So when you want to transfer funds to the neteller debit card from your neteller account, they are converted fromm say US dollars to canadian dollars. When you withdraw through an ATM, they are converted from canadian dollars back to the currency of your country.

Therefore you are being charged twice for the currency conversion which did not happen before April 2004 (approx). Recently i withdrew $1000 from my neteller account but after all the fees and currency conversion charges, i got only $925 of that. Lets just say i wasn't impressed...
