    Question Bonus question

I know this probably is a really stupid question, is there an easy way to figure out your play thru requirements to see if they have been met? Or, is it easier to just contact the casino and ask them?

Thanks in advance for an answer to this...

never contact the casino for this type of info
as that's just telling the casino 'hey i am here to take the bonus and wager minimum and leave'
keep track of your own bets.

Some software tally your bets (Crypto, Boss, Micro) but some you will have to write down as you go. Then (assuming BJ) you can come back and tel us how rigged it is!

Please can you tell me how to get this data from Boss & Micro?

I know Crypto provides a very user friendly one-line-per-session total summary, but thought the other two only list it hand-by-hand - making it tedious & boring work adding it all up!

I'll let you into a little KK trade 'secret'! I get 4 pennys, and 20 5p coins on my desk. 1p = 1$. Then as I play I slide them from right to left according to the value of my bet. When all the 5p's have moved I note that I've done $100, and start again.
Much easier than trying to write it all down bet-by-bet!

PS. I haven't tried it, but I think this system might also work with 4 1c coins & 20 nickels, and maybe if you slide left to right instead!

    Vickie,

It's not a stupid question - unfortunately I think the casinos want to make life as difficult as possible for anyone playing with a bonus (and encourage you to exceed the wagering requirement), so they generally don't provide an easy method of calculating how much you've played.

Cryptologic (Intercasino & co.) is about the best, but it doesn't include doubling or splitting in its total for blackjack.

MG has the horrible and near useless 'playcheck'. A better bet is either to use the autoplay, or to click on statistics after a session so it'll tell you how many hands/spins you've played. Unfortunately I don't think this tells you how much you bet, so it only works if you flat bet.

With Playtech you can just use the Comp points in the cashier - 10$=1 point, usually. I'm not sure if a similar thing works with RTG.

Overall it's best to try and keep count yourself, but if you lose count by all means contact the CS - they should always be able to tell you quickly (they must spend half their lives answering these questions!). If you make a mistake with wagering you'll generally only get the cash-in returned to your account, but some places, like the Fortune Lounge casinos, rub their hands in joy and pocket the cash

For Boss, just go to comp program. If you started with zero and wagered $1000 in BJ, then you'll have 100 points.

Normally, I would just email the online casino, and they will reply me. That's it! And then, if I am "very near" my completion of the playthru requirements, I will usually list down and count my bets as I make it until I reached the playthru requirement.

Vesuvio you are quite right! Microgaming is probably the most prevalent and popular casino software on the net, yet they stick with the near useless 'Playcheck' system. Why would they stay with this utter rubbish if not to deliberately make things difficult for their customers, as you say?

Crypto is 10x better! Not only do they have the very quick & simple to use 'Log Viewer', but also most of their casino's have 100%, or 30% up to $100, bonuses every month - not like the pathetic 15% at MG's.
If only there were about another 10 similar crypto operators online - I would never use anything else!

Be careful about using this method. I have had several Boss casinos show a comp point balance that was several hundred dollars below the amount I had wagered. I had to call the call the casino to find out. My advice is to count out the first 50 bets and make sure you have 5 comp points. Then, count out another 50 and make sure you have another 5. If the balance is correct, then you can rely on it. But still check it periodically to make sure the points seem right.

    brrrr.

Reading this thread really explains why so many novice players get screwed.

They end up with bonuses and don't read or even understand the wagering requirements (many don't have English as their native tongue) and win - and bam! they don't get payed and scream bloody murder.

People need to have a choice of whether they want a bonus or not, and it needs to be easy to read and list all the consequences of any decision.

Maybe there needs to be a choice of a welcome bonus with wagering requirements, and a loyalty bonus without.
