Best Question: When we are on a winning streak, WHEN TO STOP ? Any tips?

    Hey guys,

Often we lose our money in gambling because we don't know WHEN to stop. Many times I've reached to $10,000 and drop my balance all the way to zero.
Coz the trick to win alot of money is to know WHEN TO STOP.

For example: Our balance is $1000.00 , we spin 5 rounds and down to $900. We spin another 2 rounds go up $1000, We spin another 10 rounds go down to $800,
It's up and down, so when to STOP ??

Any tips anyone, from a professional or experienced gambler?

In my view, one has to learn something from every experience with gambling.

All of us have been in situations like the one you describe, and the way i have come to look at it is this:

If you hit big on a game, its very easy to think "whoa here we go its gonna pay out its on a streak" and, as a result, up our bets and keep pressing in expectation of that streak. However, in reality, that streak almost never happens. My experience tells me that it is very rare to hit 300+xbet wins, so when I do hit one, I realise that its probably even more unlikely that its going to pay something like that any time soon. How many times have we hit a monster and given most of it back by pressing our bets? As a result my aim is to preserve as much of a big win as possible by:

    1. Not taking bonuses too often and none with big WR.

    2. Cashing out immediately after a big win (if possible) and leaving 2x my original deposit to play with.....believe me, it makes you adjust your thinking when you have a much lower available balance. In fact, I try to play like I did before I hit big, which has prevented me playing back most big hits over the past five years at least. If you really like to press bets, then maybe leave 3 or 4 x deposit to play with.

    3. I set a cashout target of 5x deposit i.e. when I deposit $50 and reach $250 I cashout $200 and keep playing with $50. I then cashout $100 each time I reach $150. It's not for everyone, but the way I see it is that you know have 4 new deposits that you can use somewhere else on another day (working on a $50 deposit average). In addition, you still have some funds left to press your bets and you don't get that awful feeling of losing the lot. A new and new deposits bring a fresh attitude and can prevent "chasing"

    4. Request for each cashout to be flushed, or at least play where the pending period is no more than 24 hours. A casino who doesn't offer at least one of these services is hoping you will reverse and lose.....don't give them the satisfaction. NEVER EVER REVERSE. Yes, you might win more, but the vast majority of the time you will lose. After all, remember how hard it was to win it in the first place?

    5. Have a list of material items or holidays or projects that you would like to spend money on and stick it to your monitor. When you have a nice win, spend a set % of it on something from your list. At least this way if you deplete your bankroll later, you have something to show for your win.

There's other little things I do but I'm sure I've bored everyone enough already. It works for me, but you need discipline.....and imo if you don't have any, you shouldn't be gambling.

The answer that probably springs to mind is WAY vefore we usually do- we are all mostly guilty and tend to forget the losses of major wins and hold on to when we turned a major win into an better major win.

My policy (and despite the experience I don't sadly always stick with it) is to first attempt to double funds and if possible cash out my original deposit. I will then set higher cashout amounts - say I deposited 100 and got to 500 I would cash out 400 . I will always cashout if I hit 1000.

The key point is that games are random and a wining streak may continue or suddenly expire so you need to set your cashout at what you can afford to lose, what amount you are happy to win not the expectation of continued winning or the expectation that the dead streak will turn. I find its also handy to remember just how bad I felt when I gambled away a big win.
    cheers

Simply base your wager against your balance and go from there.

If after spinning 10 spins you've lost 20% of your balance you are probably at the wrong bet level.

Additionally, you've got to balance your state of mind when you decide to play (Am I here to win big, am I here to win, or am I here to play out a bonus).

That more than anything will determine your approach.

I tend to use a "bracket". If I deposit $50, get to $200, I'm aiming to quit at $150, or carry on to $250. At $250, I'll change that bracket to cashing out at $200, or paying to $300. If I get to $300, then I'm playing for a $250 cashout, or on to $350.

I also want to play for a certain amount of time, so an early hit I will usually play back I'm afraid. And when it's time for bed, I tend to cashout if I don't have a WR remaining.

And don't reverse. That's the best advice of all.

Your question is the most important question of all for anyone who plays to WIN.

I read all of the posts. Your question is the most important question of all for anyone who plays to WIN. Not one person to post so far has given you, in my opinion, a single bad answer or piece of advice.

All of these folks obviously play on a regular basis and seemingly and hopefully none are doing harm to themselves by gambling.

I am the first to admit that I have questioned whether I should continue to gamble repeatedly due to loss of control time and time again. Whether it is chasing into a losing streak or throwing back a nice win it always hurts--hopefully nobody beside yourself.

None of us are perfect and if we gamble, there will be times when we F@#k ourselves. Now for my more than 2 cents on the subject:

Everyone that has posted so far has a system that seems to work for them. This is absolutely essential. My guess is that most are usually pretty good at maintaining control and stick to their money management plan.

You threw back Ten Grand. Unfortunately, I personally know more times than I can bare to think about exactly what you were feeling. If you got to Ten Grand, then you are an aggressive bettor like myself.

For me, I must first decide what my minimum amount to win is. In other words, how much makes it worth my while. That amount varies depending on my current financial status. Let's just say I will not cash out less than $500 and I'm starting with $100 (perhaps more incl bonus). Once I hit that $500, then it becomes my goal to keep a minimum of 75 to 80 percent. So, If I drop between $380 and $400--it's time to cash out.

Leaving money to play on later while the perfect choice for some only increases the chances that I'll lose control and throw it all back while the Withdrawal is still reversible.

Once I cash in, I find it best to not play that casino again until my withdrawal has left pending status and cannot be reversed. I find it best to log in only to check the status and then immediately log out again.

Hopefully my long-winded response will help you and I both avoid such costly mistakes again in the future.

I believe you should NEVER quit when winning. Ride it out hard! As for pressing it up up up, I think Jasiminebed's previous post pretty much mirrors my strategy.

One more thing . . . Nifty29 really put it in the nutshell!

nutshelled it (summed it up, or said the most important thing of all if you are unfamiliar with American Slang)

but you need discipline.....and imo if you don't have any, you shouldn't be gambling.

Nifty29, nothing and I mean absolutely NOTHING sums it up like the last thing in your post.

The Meister has some really good tips on this site about avoiding the pitfall into hell caused by out of control gambling. If you have not read this:

    Lightbulb when.....

I stop when I start losing and have played all my usual high payout slots. What I do is cash-out and leave myself anywhere from $50-100.00 to play within in the next 2-5 days. But before I play the remaining balance I uninstall the casino, clear all files associated with that casino and temp and history files then reinstall and play the balance. Doesn't always work but 50% of the time I am able to cashout again.

I usually aim for atleast an $800-1000+ before withdrawing, especially now when fees are charged for cashouts under $300.00 at many casinos

Sometimes when things start to go south, I just stop playing and play my remaining balance again in a couple of days(I follow the same uninstall scenario I described above before resuming play)

You do realise its a waste of time doing the uninstall/reinstall thing? It's the same as rubbing the machine before you spin, or pressing all the buttons at once before you put coins in, or pressing the buttons with a rabbits foot etc.

It can have no bearing on your results....they come from the casino server not the software, and if the method you use increased your chances of winning then everyone would be doing it and the casinos would be going broke...and neither of those are happening. I would also be sure that the casinos would pick up if you were somehow winning more than everyone else and close your account etc.

I'm really surprised that anyone would think they could "fool" the software like this, let alone actually do it.
