    Offered Inducement to reverse

Ok, firstly I have to admit my resolve weakened and after around 2 weeks without going near a spin button, I deposited £50 and took a 100% bonus at a CM accredited casino. Made WR and withdrew just over £600 on Tuesday evening.

Sent the documents and they phoned me too to confirm my identity. The withdrawal is no longer reversible.......nothing wrong so far till this morning.....

I got another phone call from said casino, this time offering me £50 if I would reverse some or all of my withdrawal. I told them what I thought of the tactic (politely) but still asked was this inducement covered by bonus terms and another WR which of course it was. Now having read the conditions of a casino being a CM accredited one, I noticed one is that they shouldn't encourage you to reverse a withdrawal especially not with inducements. I have not mentioned the casino as the money has not yet reached my account

Is the correct thing to do to inform CM of the casino in question?

I think you should name and shame after you get your $$'s.

IMO, it's very unethical for a casino to do this.

Especially heinous since you had completed pending period, and your withdrawal should have then been processed.

Usually casinos won't allow you to use a reverse payment to claim a bonus, even if you request it yourself.

I would just tell them to reverse £1 and add the £50 bonus and be happy. What casino is this?

Whichever software this is, if they do hope players reverse discussions should be made with the software provider to follow the Rival example to allow bonuses on withdrawals. That way the casinos wont actively induce players to reverse and this option will serve players who wish to continue play with a bonus. If Rival was able to do it this shouldnt be so hard for other software.

I have had this with quite a few accredited casinos, and recent years has seen a marked increase in this practice.

I have had inducements to reverse from Fortune Lounge and Palace Group in the past during a time where they were accredited. I have had a couple from Casino Rewards too, but they are not accredited.

In almost all cases, the offers on reversals are not as good as the offers for making a fresh deposit, however there have been cases where the offer has been equal to, or even better, than the offers for fresh deposits.

It is the active solicitation to reverse that is the problem, rather than the value of the offer itself. A more acceptable method would be to have a published set of offers for reversal, but ones that the player has to look for and claim themselves, rather than them getting an email, or even worse, a phone call, with an unpublished inducement to reverse.
