An accredited casino who is not deliberately setting rules in order to entrap players would look at the circumstances as well as the offence. If the mistake was due to a genuine mistake because the default coin on this game was set unexpectedly high compared to others (which seems to be the case), they will deem the breach to be unintentional. It could be a trickier situation had you won big on that first spin, as it is a case of judging intent, not easy when the player has no history at the casino.
32Red group are known to take cases such as this on individual merit, rather than jumping at the slightest chance not to pay. 32Red do not usually confiscate winnings down to a breach of bonus terms, but apply a WR of 100x on them instead. This at least gives the player a chance to redeem themselves by demonstrating further play, as well as the chance that they might make the 100x and withdraw.
With this % of bonus term now in widespread use, casinos really should be setting the bet defaults lower such that the average player does not inadvertently break the rules just by pressing spin on the default bet. There has also been much criticism about the placing of the "max bet" button right next to the "spin" button, making it very easy to misclick on it when the intent was merely to spin. Even worse, the "max bet" button sets this as the default, making even the "spin" button then carry on at max bet. It would help if this button could be removed under "options" so that players could protect themselves from making such a mistake. It would be more useful than many of the other options available.
What would count against you though would be to attempt to use the situation in order to get a "free ride" at the casino's expense, so the advice to contact the casino NOW to explain the mistake and ask for your case to be considered should be followed. Leaving it until the end, and using it (or not as the case may be) to either get paid winnings, or have your deposit refunded having lost it, is going to look like you were intentionally trying to "abuse the system", rather than it being a genuine mistake.
