Hi ever1, i want to ask to people who play alot on 3dice, about the payola slot, i deposited some hundreds last week and was so excited about my freespin and got really dissapointed from what i got and the result, so my question is, is this a normal payout on this slot or was i just unlucky here?

ok here is the fact :

Bet size : 5.20 Dollar bet

got 4 disco light and it picked amazingly the GOLD plate wich is 77 freespin with 4X

in the freespin i got ree-trigger 3 times one of them was the light silver wich is 33 freespin and two 16

total : 142 spins where 77 of them was 4X and rest of them 2X

my total win was : 347.36, thats 66X my bet..

Big wins are possible, but extremely rare in my experience.
I would say it is normal to get masses of free-spins which pay virtually nothing.
That's why, when it first came out, I dubbed it "Crapola"

I like Payola, but even with a few 100 freespins it's very well possible to get only a 50x return.

Payola is alot of fun to play, but it is pretty low variance. Bonus rounds frequently pay 5x-10x your bet. But its pretty addicting trying to get the gold record and lots of retriggers (even gold record bonus rounds can pay pretty low).

This is usually my go to game when I only have a few bucks left and im trying to rebuild my balance. Just keep your expectations low and its great entertainment (as it should be)

Payola used to be my FAVORITE game ... then I realised that I was chasing a lost cause. I have probably lost more than anything on that Slot. I have hit 5 Disco Balls and also got paid under 10x bet... Low wins are absolutely common. The Slot is a brilliant concept but the payouts lack. The Slot is Medium to Low variance but when it hits a dry spell you feel like you are playing a high variance slot.

Statistically, Looking at the 3Dice Zeitgeist since the inception of the Casino / Zeitgeist, 750x bet is the maximum someone has achieved (And that was this year only). The average 'Big' Hit is about 200x bet - Hardly big Vs. other slots. I have had a good go at payola... playing anything from $0.20c to $15 a spin and haven't had anything to boast about... Its hard to achieve 5 Disco balls to begin with and when you do ... you are all excited and then ...

Do yourself a favour - Play it for FUN - It's very entertaining with retrigs and such. If you are 'lucky' enough to hit a 200x bet then you're truly 'Lucky'.... as it does not happen often enough IMPO ..

The likes of Tut or Medieval Moolah would probably give you better bang for your buck...

payola is a very addictive slot, somehow.
i think ive played it as much as anyone, and then some ^^.
my greatest hit being the five wilds to turn a 3 $ bet into 999$, ive had plenty of awesome returns, people talk about balls a lot, but believe me when i say its all about the wilds in regular spins, they pay x 3 and this is very good, its also one of the few slots i actually feel comfortable with playing not max lines: ive played like ten coins on nine lines, which represents a 2$ spin when u hit, and i recommend people to try it, experiment a bit, and disregard the lines you miss to see what the actual returns are.
max bet is 15$, on nine lines this is only 6.75$ this will last your bankroll longer and if you hit one of the nine (and most common) lines you wont be sorry.

you can also play 13, 15 or 17 lines ( i always raise 2 lines where 9 lines would be my base bet. so you add a pair, somehow this seems to work best) and the higher you play, the more you save per spin.

i feel payola is a slot you need to get a feel for, then it can be one of your best friends in 3dice


and@ nate, i know you lost your ass off in 3dice mate, like i do in 32red but i must say that overall i disagree with your statement that moolah or tut would give you more bang for your buck, this is exactly the opposite o the fact,
these are truly the higher end of high variance slots.
when they pay max then youll be satisfied but else its hit and run, mostly even enter, lose, and run weeping ^^
anyhow i think 3dice's slots are all tight, you need to roll low there and raise at the right moment.
I guess not much people have the patience for it, i myself have trouble staying disciplined too.
When your used to playing 5$ a spin or up it might be even harder ^^

More Bang for your Buck = Better returns for the amount Wagered

I understand variance perfectly well. If you have a bankroll to facilitate higher betting spins my recommendation would be not to waste your time on Payola - This is from experience. The returns would be disappointing as stipulated by the op and experience of other posters. With Slots this might not always be the case as you never know what hit is going to come up. The average 'Big Hit' potential payout of payola as can be seen on the Zeitgeist is lower than that of Moolah or Tut. Those quite happy having smaller returns may play Payola and others who look for a bit of thrill can look at other slots.

I also wouldn't recommend NOT playing all lines as this can hamper your chances of a nice hit. You actually increase the variance by doing this.

Another thing is WHY do you need to low roll at 3Dice... I play High Variance slots the equivalent of those at 3Dice ALL the time and don't low roll in order to see a decent return. The 'Right Time' is also inaccurate as how can you predict when a slot will pay out?

just to clarify, i know you understand variance etc, i merely was pointing out that the 3dice slots, seem tighter then most slots, even if the other software you play labels a slot high variance, the ones on 3dice are still higher.
and you dont need to lowroll perse, but i say its the wisest thing to do if you were looking for playtime
(thats what i thought you meant with bang for your buck) and the more spins you get from your bankroll, the higher the chance to get a decent one in.

i see your screenies, i talked to you in pm in chat, and your posts here, and you come a cross as a pretty high roller, one not easy giving up, meaning you expect a certain return, i even read your words somewhere, that with MG you almost always get one good spin, that would even you out to more or less the starting balance.
well you just cant expect that on 3dice.
thats why you need a feel for it, at least payola, imo.
but these are hardly facts, its more a feeling.
for me it pays off.

funny thing indeed that payola hasnt been showing 1000x bets in zeitgeist, but i certainly seen them in tourneymode, and they are waiting to happen, ill post a screen when i make it ^^
on the line play, its actually the other way around, i challenge you to give 3dice another go, and then play it as i say, with minimum 9 lines, and do a session like u normally did there, in terms of bankroll, this will give you two times the spins at least, and i say, that when you find it at a good moment, the possible missed lines will be negated by the doubling of the number of spins and the frequency of line hits on the first 9 vs the rest.

the "right time" is never certain really ofc, you will only be able to define it after the events took place:P
nevertheless, i see certain patterns in payola, that reoccur, and mostly i see my feeling was right.

oh and just to clarify, i do not deposit at a lot of MG casinos anymore, actually only 32red.
but i sure used to b4 3dice, and i experienced there what you have in 3dice, months of nothingness, 10000's of euros gone without a decent hit, or when i got one it was after losing so much that that hit didnt even make up for it.
it took a while b4 i trusted any MG casino again, when you have an ugly ass losing streak, your perception is tainted.
this does not mean that other people arent winning, right?
