    MiniVegas also assimilated?

I kept my Villento account, just logged in to see what was up and clicked the Casino Rewards tab to make sure they'd closed my other accounts - lo and behold now I find my Vegas Joker account, an old Luxury account, Grand Hotel....etc.

Yep - CR took over the Mini Vegas group in July.
Villento (and Rich Reels) were bought up by the Casino Rewards Vacuum Cleaner in June.

Resistance is futile. Unless you're 32Red. (hopefully)

Not since January 2010. There is a dispute where the KGC made CR pay half a player's winnings because the term he broke was not considered prominent enough on the website. THis was probably a better outcome than might come from a PAB, where Max may have ruled that the term was broken, and the player should merely be allowed to start again with deposit+bonus.

There is no evidence to suggest that they are part of Microgaming, but like any company, once you reach a certain size in your sector, you can negotiate better prices from your suppliers. Microgaming probably work with CR as they have often bailed out busted MG casinos, and taken on the responsibilty of covering players' lost funds. This may have allowed them to negotiate a deal with MGS that makes it much cheaper to retain so many separate skins, rather than consolidate players from bought casinos into their own skins, which is what often happens.
